Silky, Siv, and Mitsuki are now willing to do whatever it takes to find and rescue Ambassador Galen Vim. But government agents, criminal organizations, and bounty hunters swarm the Titus II system. Getting to the planet alive may be the easiest part of this mission since no one has seen the ambassador since he was captured by Tekk Reapers.
Thanks to a vision from Oona, the young hyperphasic messiah, they know he’s alive and in the company of a mysterious young woman with unusual abilities. They also know that he has information essential not just to Oona’s survival but to the survival of human civilization itself.

The death that happens felt extremely hollow and forced, like it only happened because the plot needed it to happen that and the last act of this book was unfortunately a boring slog. It should have been tense and exciting but similar to Renegade Star I get really burned out on the nonstop death defying action to the point where I'm just waiting for it to be over, also I can tell when the author is forcing certain things to get an outcome so it doesnt feel very real within the bounds of the story and characters. Need some more quiet moments and time to breathe and help me care about these characters at all. I'm just kind of waiting for everyone except Silky to die at this point and I'm disappointed that I don't care that much, I like Siv but for a nearly 10 year profession high class criminal, he sure is incredibly naive.
again still a good series but this one really didn't do much for me outside of making me feel like the author is REALLY dead set on very specific things happening but writes himself into some minor corners that he then has to ham fist his way through. not going to lie though, he is MUCH better at that than a lot of writers so credit where its do
Good and bad.
