Story
Carolyn Blanche thought she had left the darkness behind. Once a relentless investigator, she traded the adrenaline rush for a quiet life as a banker, a mother, a woman at peace. But some mysteries refuse to be ignored. It starts with a house. A half-built, unfinished shell standing alone on a busy road. Ordinary to the world, but to Carolyn, something is deeply, horribly wrong. The house isn’t supposed to be there—it doesn’t even exist on public records. And yet, someone is inside. Watching. Waiting. What begins as idle curiosity soon spirals into an obsession.

4.5/5 for the story
5/5 for narrator
This story was great. I really enjoyed the last half with how fast paced it became. Also liked a lot of the way the author chose to describe things!
The narrator was great! She did an amazing job with the emotion, pacing, and all the different voices.
Definitely worth the listen.

New York City Fashion Executive Peter Delmonico has had a rough life. Physically abused by his father as a child, and mentally abused by his wife as an adult, he sees no choice but to let his inner demons guide him through life. Obsessed with photography for as long as he can remember, he takes a detour one afternoon into NYC’s Bryant Park, where he snaps a photo of a beautiful woman who bumps into him, and then kisses him, only to vanish into the crowd as mysteriously as she appeared.

wow the narration was perfection. I loved the emotion and all the different voices they both did. the story was fun but some of the character descriptions were unnecessary, especially for a character that just had a small part in it. other than that, it was fun!
