The Destiny’s Crucible series chronicles the incredible adventure of Joseph Colsco, a college student of no particular importance who is thrust into an unimaginable fate by an accident that couldn’t happen - but did. Cast naked on the planet Anyar, he forges a new life for himself and rises to prominence and responsibilities he would otherwise never have imagined. However, much is left undone and uncertain.

following from book one

Didn't seem to quite mesh with book one as it went from more scfi to more fantasy but not bad though

Story
This is not the story of preppers with stockpiles of food, weapons, and a hidden bunker. This is the story of Colton Ryman, his stay-at-home wife, Madison, and their teenage daughter, Alex. In 36 Hours, the Ryman family and the rest of the world will be thrust into the darkness of a post-apocalyptic world.

engrossing
Reviewed: 10-24-16
When I brought this book it was after reading other reviews and I was a bit iffy about the price, well price per hour. I like the post-apocalyptic genre however as an Aussie I find many American books focus too much on either religion or guns or both to be realistic for me. If it happened here we wouldn’t pray about it but neither would we have guns to go out and shoot people. However as I have since brought the rest of the series and find its day to day story is engrossing and I can sort off blur the gun parts and have to recommend it.
