Story
Three-time Christy Award winner Davis Bunn collaborates with Janette Oke to evoke the tumult of first-century Judea in the wake of Christ’s crucifixion. Although she prefers service in Pontius Pilate’s palace to a loveless marriage, Leah is betrothed to a Roman centurion. Before he can have Leah, however, he must go on a secret mission. But when a rabbi’s missing body sends Leah and Alban after the same answers, what they discover could change all they hold dear.

Wonderful book. It is so wonderful to be able to listen to a book from biblical times of our lord and the beginning of Christianity. It is good to have moral books to teach lessons through stories like this.

It's a wonderful story and as good as book 1. Can't wait for #3. The narrator is fantastic, as usual and I loved the story and the lesson of family (you do not always need to be born of the same parents). It is great.

A very lovely book and I always love a happy ending. So many people go through life without ever having the love of a pet. The authors did a wonderful job of capturing and describing the feeling of guilt, despair, and utter torment over losing a pet.
The refreshing knowledge that there are many good people out there if one just takes the time to look.
Thank you for the wonderful book.
