Delightful as all of her's that i have read.

The Narrator is a joy to listen to. Transitioning from character to character is fluid a seems natural. i like the story being told thru the writer' direct involvement as she Lives through the morphing and telling as the story has a life of its own. very cleverly done.

AMAZING TASTE AND FEEL OF OUR NOT SO DISTANT PAST

I loved this book. SO GLAD I could listen to the story because I LITERALLY did not want to put it down. The narrator took me away into the pre turn of the century' s speech patterns. accents. dialects with her changes on speech and tone. she brought a naturalness within conversations so that I fell into recognizing characters by their 'voice' as I would my friends and family.

When Rain learns that his former lover, Midori, has been raising their child in New York, Rain senses a chance for reconciliation, perhaps even for redemption. Story
The Knights of the Golden Circle was the largest and most dangerous clandestine organization in American history. It amassed billions in stolen gold and silver, all buried in hidden caches across the United States. Since 1865 treasure hunters have searched, but little of that immense wealth has ever been found. Now, 160 years later, two factions of what remains of the Knights of the Golden Circle want that lost treasure - one to spend it for their own ends, the other to preserve it.

I love this book. Claire and Jamie have matured in their characters - love each other more in a no-less passionate but more solid and timeless way, accepting of the little idiosyncrasies / warts & calluses we each develop through time. I love the way they gather others to their circle of influence in a natural way .
I also appreciate the inclusion, development and diversity of characters with such a wide range of backgrounds. Being able to watch some "grow-up" like Ian Murray, Rachel & Denzel's organic disparity yet ongoing resolution and strength of conviction, due to their faith, in handling the Quaker dictates of non-violence with their conviction of participation in the war by providing Medical treatment of the wounded.
I could continue to ramble - just read and enjoy - I have physically Read the book 1 time, but have listened now for the 5th time while driving, making Christmas gifts, washing dishes etc. many Thanks to all who made this book and the Audio version possible.
