Story
Poverty is much more than simply a lack of material resources, and it takes much more than donations and handouts to solve it. When Helping Hurts shows how some alleviation efforts, failing to consider the complexities of poverty, have actually (and unintentionally) done more harm than good. But it looks ahead. It encourages us to see the dignity in everyone, to empower the materially poor, and to know that we are all uniquely needy - and that God in the gospel is reconciling all things to himself.

Good message
Reviewed: 07-10-22
I agree with the message but I’m not impressed with the storytelling. The books a lot of cut offs and jumps and does not have vey smooth transitions from one topic or piece of evidence to another. The message is important though, so I recommend a read.

Story
Written only months before Austen's death in 1817, Sanditon tells the story of the joyously impulsive, spirited, and unconventional Charlotte Heywood and her spiky relationship with the humorous, charming (and slightly wild!) Sidney Parker. When a chance accident transports her from her rural hometown of Willingden to the would-be coastal resort of the eponymous title, it exposes Charlotte to the intrigues and dalliances of a seaside town on the make, and the characters whose fortunes depend on its commercial success.

More Explanation of Christ
Reviewed: 03-03-21
I do wish that Dinesh would always narrative his own. He always does a wonderful job. I loved the subject matter but wish he could have gotten more of the "heart" of Christianity explained.
I think for the intellectuals, this is a hard subject to understand. Faith is a difficult thing to explain to a closed mind. There is a certain amount of uncertainty when trust is involved.
Once the bridge has been built, the facts fall so easily into place and the actual science and history line up so nicely. It is a peace that passes all understanding. Not gonna lie... a wonderful place to find yourself.
