Story
An escape from my parents who insist I follow in their footsteps as a Guardian of the Society. Keep the members safe—that's what I'm supposed to do. But how can I safeguard the students when I can't even protect myself? Someone has been watching me. His eyes burn into my soul like a branding iron. At night, he haunts my dreams and transforms them into nightmares. Sometimes when I wake, he's there, standing at the foot of my bed in awe of my existence. He isn't the one I fear most, though

Loved it! Great story. Had fun jumping into this dark world with these morally gray MMC's and a strong FMC. Perfect why choose with plenty of spice. I like how the story unfolded with the MMC's trying to learn to come to terms with sharing and navigating the relationship with each other and the FMC. No MM in this and no pregnancies. Narrators did great but wish it had been a duet!

Story
In therapy, they tell you to use your senses. List the things you know: Sermons recited with malice. A blood-soaked ritual. The sting of tears and gasping sobs of the dying. Rotting flesh. I grew up in a cage, tortured by the Lord Almighty's most twisted servant. Death and despair became my close companions as I watched years of slaughter at Pastor Michaels’ hand. Eighteen girls. Dead. Eighteen lives. Ended. Eighteen futures. Stolen.

Great story that moves a good pace. There was one big plot and lots of smaller mysteries that get resolved and move on to the next which keep the book interesting. Fair warning theres lots of trauma and abuse in this book (not by MMC's) which got hard to read about at times but the storyline was worth it. It was a slow burn for sure so dont expect much in book 1 but definitely get your fill of spice in books 2 & 3. I thought spice was pretty high but I know that is relative. No MM in this harem. Narrators are British and I usually have a hard time with the choices British narrators make in regard to speed, volume, and the acting but they did a wonderful job.

My name is Dawn Rose. I was the food-scavenger for my group of outcasts in the Fringe - what used to be LA County before the Abnorms and supernaturals turned it into a hellscape. But I never expected to witness a brutal murder-by-magic. Now I've been whisked off to Briarwitch Academy, the place where magic goes to grow. The faculty think I have an ancient untapped power. Yeah, right. Like I'm going to fit in with drunken gnomes and goth pixies.

I really wanted to listen to this series but I could not suffer through the narration. I tried but after several chapters I had to stop female narrators tone was not only annoying but story wasn't depicted accurately based on what characters were saying and how she was narrating it. It frustrated so I quiet.

Omg I love this story! The book has a really great plot and storyline that moves at a great pace. Out of so many of these reverse harem books I've read I found this series one of the most fun and exciting to read. Fair warning it is a slow burn which was a bit hard to sit through for so long with all the tension. Not much going on until book 3 but the spice was well worth the wait! I find that with most academy/NA series the spice usually falls flat but this author did not disappoint! There is no MM and plenty more spice in book 4 and 5. Book 6 is not yet out on audible so I was disappointed getting to the end of book 5 to realize it wasn't the end of the series and that book 6 is coming out soon. I really hope author decides to add an audio version soon especially before I forget the storyline. While I would have loved if this book had a duet with a male narrator, I thought the FMN did a great job all on her own.

Story
The Ironside Show is back. Bigger than ever, and shinier, too. To the audience, it’s a glorious spectacle, but to Isobel Carter and the Alphas of Dorm A, it’s a trap. A maze. The further they venture, the darker their path becomes, until all the tarnish has flaked away and only the bare metal bars remain.

The academy that once promised Isobel Carter salvation has pulled back the curtain and revealed itself for what it truly is. A pretty little prison. She may have been reduced to a puppet behind a screen, but at least the Alphas of Dorm A are there to heighten her performances, quicken her breath, and flood her face with colour for the cameras.

Isobel Carter is making headlines. Some of them good, some of them bad, and some of them … astounding. She started at the bottom and now she’s near the top with everything she never wanted, but the Ironside Show doesn’t care, because she’s just become one of the most interesting students at the academy, and everyone seems to have big plans for her.

Story
Ironside is more than a regular academy. It’s also the biggest reality TV show in the world … and a very elaborate, very luxurious prison. Their hallowed halls are ruled by the Betas, Omegas, and Deltas—but this year, the officials are stirring things up. Isobel Carter—the only rare Sigma to be accepted—is the first sign. But there are others. Many others. A sudden influx of powerful Alphas will turn academy life, and Isobel’s life, upside down.

This book just isn't for me. This book lingers to long in the morally gray with not enough redemption for the FMC. I listened up to chapter 42 and stopped. I really tried to hang in there but when there was talk of getting her pregnant I just couldn't. My conclusion is these characters are both f##ked up mentally unstable people that deserve each other. The MC lied and treated her like crap so much and they seem to never circle back to any of it. There is little to no redemption or apologizes for any of his actions. If there was just a touch more remorse or consequence for the MC it would have satisfied the part of me that doesnt want to see women thought of and treated like crap without a little justice. This couple are the last two people on earth that should consider having kids. And yes, while fetches are okay exploring whether they occur due to past trauma rather than a curiosity or kink should also be acknowledged (you can tell hers were totally due to the world she grew up in).
On a more positive note! I thought the storyline and plot were good in the sense that they all tied into this very dark world of the LORDS and how the couple met and the challenges they faced. There is tons of spice so on that note you wont be disappointed. And of course the narrators did great (two of my favorite narrators).

I only came to Blackwell Falls to find my missing sister. First on my list of suspects: the notorious Kings of Aventine. Now I'm forced to live with the three men I can't afford to trust. Rock tries to fool me with a soft touch, kind blue eyes, and the nurturing I secretly crave. Brooding, dark-eyed Oscar takes pictures of me when I'm not looking and tempts me with his piercings, inked skin, and honeyed words.

I got this as a free play with audible and thought it was a pretty good storyline. I liked the mystery of finding out who the killer was. I must admit the book is long and probably could have been shortened by cutting out some of the FMC repetitive thoughts and scenes at the house that were kind of pointless and boring. Because it was also long it was slow at times so I would fast forwarded some parts to speed it up. My biggest grip was the FMC it was so odd that her biggest priority was finding her sisters murder and knowing that the guys she's messing with might be involved but doing it anyways. They may have killed her but my body has a mind of its own so I'll go for it anways. That was really at odds with her main goal and unrealistic of how someone would act that they suspected was involved in their sisters murder. The spicy was great hope it build in book two which plan to purchase as I am now invested in the story. So far no pregnancy and no MM which is up my alley. End of book 1 was kinda left on a cliff hanger. Narrators did great although it is mostly the FMN reading most of the book. I never understand why books like this that have a male narrator dont just do a duet, it would make the story and listen so much better.
