Story
When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

Could not finish it
Reviewed: 10-21-22
I need to remember not to be lulled by 4 Books for 1 credit. I'm astonished at all the 4+ star reviews. I could not finish it. Very little character development. Endless, endless mind numbing fight sequences. Monotone narrator. It was established early on in the first book that these "creatures" could only be killed by a shot/knife/blow to the head. It was eye rolling in Book 3 that everyone knows this yet continues to die because they're only shooting at the chest. I started Book 3 but couldn't finish it. It's a boring, monotonous slog. Save your precious credit.

Fantastic Narration!
Reviewed: 01-16-20
The story line was great. The romance could have used a bit more fleshing out, but what made it a phenomenal read was the narrator! It almost defies belief that this woman can do so many different characters and accents that sound like a complete cast of people. I would listen to any book narrated by Adjoa Andoh.

Excellent!
Reviewed: 11-21-18
This book reads as well as all of the other Philippa Gregory Books. True, the main character is an obnoxious narcissist, but that doesn't detract from the story at all. In fact, it's rather amusing! And she's quite clever, sly and conniving to boot. It is helpful to listen to The Lady of the Rivers, and The White Queen prior to listening to The Red Queen, as this is the chronological order of the series.
