Small town grumpy sunshine trope in the Green Valley “Penny-verse”. Lila Winters brings such personality and fun to everything she does and Chris Brinkley is such a treasure. His expressive storytelling manner makes him one of my favorites.

Like others have said, one of the best of Green Valley! I shouldn’t have been surprised. Juliette Cross is so good with story lines and relatable characters. (Totally recommend her Stay a Spell Series!) As for narration- I always enjoy Lila Winters, but Chris Brinkley made this one spectacular! I love how you can hear him smile as he narrates, it totally adds to the swoon-factor! These two bring so much personality to the story!

I love KF Breene books- I’m surprised it’s taken me so long to get to this series! What you need to know as you dive in: each book has a little redemption ending, but it’s leading into the next- there’s a big storyline that stretches over the entire series. So they aren’t meant to be standalone books. You won’t get the traditional HEA in each book- you’ll get a little happy that plays into the story over all. With that format in mind- this book was an intro into the world, the main players, and the premise of the series- and I enjoyed it. The narration is PERFECT! Her other series are so supremely well narrated, and I seeing a different name gave me a moment of pause- but it was fantastic!!

I’m a big fan of Lucy Score. I’ve read and/or listened to nearly everything she has out. She’s good at creating relatable characters with some snark and goofiness. This book, like many of her stories, may be bit longer than it had to be thanks to a very detailed storyline (true Lucy Score style)- but it’s a sweet look at a couple who deserve the world but keep getting in their own way. The narration is well done, with distinct character voices and a conversational style. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was super excited for this release, had preordered and patiently awaited release day- and it did not disappoint!! I loved this next installment for the Knockemout characters. The usual Lucy Score snark and banter in a sweet but spicy rom com with a some suspense. The narration is perfect too!

Started a little slow, but I really enjoyed it overall. I found the characters relatable for the most part, though I wanted to shake FMC early on. Her arc was well done though, and the male lead was a great character.

I will admit that I have enjoyed every book I’ve read or listened to by Lucy Score- but I was a bit resistant to this one because of the length coupled with some marginal reviews. I am so glad I jumped in on this!

Yes, Knox is a class 5 grumpy a-hole, but you’re doing yourself a disservice if you miss the undercurrent- the subtext. Yes he’s misguided, that’s the point of the character arc. And Naomi had her issues too- again- character development. Its more than half the reason to read/ listen to the book.

Narration is fantastic- two of my favorites!

This is truly one of the best romances in my nearly 600-title audible library, and my first book by Abby Jimenez - but definitely not the last! It's a sweet, swoony story about two characters with hugely divergent lifestyles, but I found them both to be really well-developed and relatable. While I enjoy that grumpy, bad-boy vibe you get with some books, it's refreshing to see a male lead who shows emotion and never makes you doubt how they feel. I wanted to shake the female lead a couple of times - but probably because she's so relatable in her responses to social pressures. Of course, the narration is just perfection. Julia Whelan and Zachary Webber do such a great job with different character voices, and the emotion they reflect is so well done.

I really enjoyed this book! While it’s entertaining on its own, I think it’s best in the context of the rest of the series. The whole series is crazy and creative, and spicy and hilarious.

I really enjoyed this book. It’s a story about 2 characters who are damaged, and learn to pull through and live life despite that. The male narrator’s tone is gruff, but the hero is an alpha male with some commitment issues, and I think it’s okay to portray him as gruff and a bit crass. The story is long, and honestly could’ve ended a couple of times before it did- but it was sweet and swoon-worthy all throughout.
