Story
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Story
Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

I am forever greatful. This book has fueled my fires and boosted my engine. I was working hard to move towards the vision God placed in me to open my Homeschool Enhancment Program in 2019. But again it seemed like the world kept throwimg up stop signs.
It was starting to defeat me and weigh me down.
Then a friend reminded me of this book. I downloaded it and expected a pick me up day of laughing, becuase as an island girl I thoroughly enjoyed her special and related to the joke about culturally traditional breakfast foods🤣. Anyhoo, this book sparked me to step out on faith and pursue rental space and start looking for instructors. God gave me the vision in 2019, I wrote it down and made it plane, now I'm walking and expecting God to guide my footsteps. Thankfully for this collection of testimonies. Pryaing for her continued success and that her cup always overflows.

Just as I Am is my truth. It is me, plain and unvarnished, with the glitter and garland set aside. Here, I am indeed Cicely, the actress who has been blessed to grace the stage and screen for six decades. Yet I am also the church girl who once rarely spoke a word. I am the teenager who sought solace in the verses of the old hymn for which this book is named. I am a daughter and mother, a sister, and a friend. I am an observer of human nature and the dreamer of audacious dreams.
