This is one of the best epic trilogies I've read recently & this last volume is outstanding. I really enjoyed this book- even more than the first two in the series. Luke Daniels & Xe Sands do an incredible job with the audiobook.
The pacing in this final book is perfect. We've been introduced to many characters & cultures - there is a lot that has to be accomplished & wrapped up - it's a long ending- but its done right. It's not rushed. We get the full tale.
This series has a wonderful combination of fantasy, myth, strategy, politics, military, magic, journey, animal companion, cheese, mustard and character.

The man who became known as Esrahaddon is reported to have destroyed the world’s greatest empire—but there are those who believe he saved it. Few individuals are as divisive, but all agree on three facts: He was exiled to the wilderness, hunted by a goblin priestess, and sentenced to death by a god—all before the age of eight. How he managed to survive and why people continued to fear his name a thousand years later has always been a mystery...until now.

Fantastic continuation of Spring's Arcana
Reviewed: 08-12-23
You need to read Spring's Arcana prior to attempting to read this one. This duology does feel like it's one book that's been split in half. You pick up the story right where you left off at the end of the first book.
This book is both beautiful & creepy. I enjoyed Nat's journey. Questions from the first book get cleared up along the way. This duology is one of the best books I've read this year.
The narrator, Barrie Kreinik, was great.

Great character growth over the trilogy.
Dyeawan was my favorite & Staz was a lot of fun.
I am going to miss Crache.

We meet Daniel, an ordinary teen just trying to navigate his way through high school. That all changes when he discovers he has super powers and can conjure up anything, at any time, just by imagining it. Disappointed. Loved getting Daniel's origin story. Didn't like the audio production. The regular books have a narrator not a full cast. The sound effects (annoying/distracting) & lack of narrative descriptions made the story hard to follow at times.

Story
A thousand years have passed since a dragon has been seen in the world. Science and technology have replaced magic, which has dwindled until it has become little more than an element of myth and legend. There are those who still have dragon blood flowing through their veins, distant descendants of the mighty creatures of old. These rare humans have the power to cast magic, the power to heal, and the power to craft alchemical weapons capable of starting wars...or ending them.
