Story
Following Jane from her childhood as an orphan in Northern England through her experience as a governess at Thornfield Hall, Charlotte Brontë's Gothic classic is an early exploration of women's independence in the mid-19th century and the pervasive societal challenges women had to endure. At Thornfield, Jane meets the complex and mysterious Mr. Rochester, with whom she shares a complicated relationship that ultimately forces her to reconcile the conflicting passions of romantic love and religious piety.

Story
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

So many perspectives on relationships as related to one's character are explored in this most delightful book. If you listen to it enough, you cannot help but to speak in this way. My approbation is great. 🙂

Some women are just off-limits. But that doesn’t stop me from wanting Elle Mariano. She’s clever, big-hearted, and the sexiest woman I’ve ever met. The thing is, she’s fighting the demons of her past and do I ever know how hard those are to battle. So I try my best to be her shoulder to lean on. Until the night we combust. And one night turns into hot, dirty days, and secret trysts. If it all sounds too good to be true, it is. Because once I learn the secret she’s keeping from me, my entire family’s future turns riskier than I ever imagined.

The intolerance of shyness
Reviewed: 05-21-20
Society only tolerates shyness as far as the imagination will allow. When people don't know much about you, they will make it up - good or bad but usually the later. Sometimes, there's a sliver (and only a sliver) of a chance it's true. This book is intriguing to the end.

Story
Taron Rhodes was my brother’s best friend. He was sexy as sin. But he was more than that.... He was ponytail-pulling, ice-down-your-shirt teasing, throw-you-in-the-lake screaming.... Strong, tanned arms and blue-green eyes over a heart-stopping, naughty grin.... Did I mention his tight end? I gave him my first real kiss, my heart, my everything. I said I’d wait for him.... I’m still waiting, because Taron Rhodes is still the man of my dreams. And I have a secret that has his blue-green eyes.
