Story
The day we met in October of 1997, I was working at the District Court in Traverse City, Michigan as a Deputy Clerk. I loved my job. It was extremely satisfying and interesting with constant interaction with all walks of life, including people on either end of the judicial spectrum and many in between. Suddenly, there he was. Tall, handsome, and looking so impressive and important in his Michigan State Police uniform with his hat, gun belt, and badge. He was extremely friendly and upbeat, smiling profusely. Best of all, he, too, was unattached. What could go wrong?

Is it the performance or the writing?

Who writes a book but never uses conjunctions? No one talks like this. It makes it difficult to follow the story.

Not the best narrator

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I love the Cynster Series and this book is good.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Matthew Brenher?
Simon Prebble is a much better narrator. He is consistent from book to book. Mattew Brenher has Richard Cynster speaking with an extreme Scottish accent when he is English. Just because he lives in Scotland doesn't mean he should have such an accent.

Terrible Narrator
Reviewed: 02-11-11
I have to agree with the previous reviews of this book. The book is good, I have read it a couple of times, but the narrator is absolutely terrible. She makes Anthony sound like he is about 90 years old. She also makes Reggie sound like a man half the time. Don't waste your money on this one.
