Story

Story
Waitress and single mom Jessica “Jessie” Mann is practical to a fault. Even if she had time to date, which she doesn’t, she’d be determined to provide her son with a more secure upbringing than the one she had - and that would mean a husband with big bucks. When Jack Morrison - a sexy-as-sin, seemingly broke customer with a cowboy hat and a seductive grin - tries to flirt with her, she shoots him down.

Original or copy?

When you read a lot and in several languages, you discover coincidences! This book is one of them:
There is a book in Spanish called Un Capricho del Destino [A Quirk of Fate] by Kristel Ralston. The plots are identical, the only difference is that in one the protagonist is a waitress and instead of having a brother, she is a single mother. It is so the same as the gallant carved wood and there was a temporary employee in one of his hotels ... they are so similar that even the partner of the gallant is a lesbian. Is it the original or is it the copy?

Professional “cleaner” Jonathan Quinn has a new client and an odd job: Find and remove the remains of a body hidden 20 years ago inside the walls of a London building, before the building is demolished. But Quinn and his team are being watched. Suddenly caught in the cross fire between two dangerous rivals, Quinn must unravel the identity of the body and why it still poses so great a threat even in death. Because a plot stretching from the former Soviet Union to Hong Kong, from Paris to London, from Los Angeles to Maine, is rapidly falling apart.

The only problem with this series is that read a book in a weekend almost not sleeping until I finish!

This book was an enjoyable surprise!
A new author that is at the same time a senior person with a scientific background and magic background created an incredible novel that combines well-documented science fiction thriller, love story, magic mystery, conspiracy theories, and police action. The co-author, Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff, is one of the best science fiction writers of our times. The result is an amazing book. Richard Ferrone performance is outstanding!
I listened to the complete book in one full day. I was unable to put it down until the end.
I am just buying the kindle version to give it as a present to my son that also loves magic and lives in Chicago!
I hope to read more of this.

But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

Interesting sci-fi and economics theory book
Reviewed: 04-02-18
Artemis is an excellent entertainment sci-fi book. I liked the scientific contents as it was very well documented and explained, but I have not seen in any review comments about the economics theory trying to tell that pure capitalism without controls can divert to and authoritarianism controlled by the mafias. In the end, all the history was to avoid a mob-controlled government for the city.
I listened to the Spanish version of the book, and the narration was good. I prefer neutral accent than the Spain accent

Story
What if you found a way to send something back in time? But not weeks, days, or even minutes back. What if you could only send something back a fraction of a second? Would this be of any use? You wouldn't have nearly enough time to right a wrong, change an event, or win a lottery. Nathan Wexler is a brilliant physicist who thinks he's found a way to send matter a split second back into the past. But before he can even confirm his findings, he and his wife-to-be, Jenna Morrison, find themselves in a battle for their very lives.
