Which character – as performed by Richard Armitage – was your favorite?
All of them? There weren't really characters, just the narrators of the poems? Richard Armitage is amazing anyway.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. It was short and simple.
Any additional comments?
This audio book was a lot more love than I get in everyday life.

Good job, for the most part

I loved reading the physical copy of the book, so I was curious to hear the audio book. The only reason I gave four stars for the performance was that the valley girl accent got too much sometimes. I mean, I know that Cathy is supposed to be cynical, but seriously. The valley girl voice got tiring.

Story
In the virtual reality game Heir Apparent, there are way too many ways to get killed, and Giannine seems to be finding them all. Which is a darn shame, because unless she can get the magic ring, locate the stolen treasure, answer the dwarf's dumb riddles, impress the head-chopping statue, charm the army of ghosts, fend off the barbarians, and defeat the man-eating dragon, she'll never win. And she has to, because losing means she'll die, for real this time.

Really funny

While the narrator did have a lot of the sass I'd expected while reading the book on my own, it would've been a bit more believable if she was an actual 15-year-old girl.
