Story
Steph doesn't care that Bran is totally blind - at least he'll never notice the longing looks she gives him. If only she could warn him about the lack of love on his conniving fiancee's face. But Steph has to keep her mouth shut, or she could lose her job, along with the health insurance that keeps her daughter alive. Billionaire Branson Knight knows women regard him as a pitiful blind man, his wealth his only attraction. So his engagement is merely a means to an end. But the last thing he wants to end is his relationship with Stephanie.

Throwing Brans father in the mix as the biological father of Korrinas baby was a surprise. I had speculated when he was demanding a trust for a sighted, normal child ‘of Brans’. Korrina demanding the wedding be immediate & remarks made about her chest size & no drinking while in Vegas made me instantly believe she was pregnant.

As I pondered while listening to the story, I wondered how courageous the woman & so many others were to say yes to blind marriages. The men also were gambling with their lives & livelihood not knowing the personality & honor of the women they were going to blindly marry. Weighing the options, left none in so many cases. I’m not sure I could ever do it. Only with God, or knowledge of Him in some way, would sustain me also. Due to their bravery, I’m blest with the life I have.

Story
An independent woman. A prideful man. A brutal storm. Can this Christmas unlock the love they never expected? Gertrude Devlin expected a fresh start on the Montana frontier, but not a boss like Art Loftis—a man as cold and unyielding as the brutal winter storm that traps them together. Art wanted a young, docile bride, not a fiercely independent woman who threatens his control over his hotel and his heart. As the snow piles up, so does their tension, turning every encounter into a battle of wills. But as secrets crack through their defenses, an unexpected spark ignites. Now, with nowhere ...

With virtual voice, the words are quite understood however, when it came to the name, Mary, Anne, the since it was two words, there was often a pause which throws the listener off. Also, the fact that virtual voice cannot interpret a word correctly, for example, READ can be pronounced REED or RED. When not read correctly, also throws the listener off when concentrating on the story. For the most part, the story and plot are very intriguing.

I like that ‘A handshake & a friends word’ were binding agreements with true friends. I didn’t like written agreements with between the ‘2 co-owners’ were done with sheriff & lawyer & the original owner uninformed until later.

Being of German descent, I enjoyed listening to the little bits of German & Swedish language.
The friendly banter reminded me of my growing up years & I’d chuckle.
The twist & turns of the plot was fascination ating. The grace & forgiveness extended to Nels after his confession was admirable of Uncle Carl. Being honest & open with Nels, to hold him accountable back at work, in front of the group showed community commitment & Grace also.
