Story
We tend to think of the Holy Spirit as the straggler of the Trinity, a latecomer in God's interaction with the world. But our first introduction to the Holy Spirit is not the drama of Pentecost in the second chapter of Acts. We first meet the Holy Spirit in the second verse of the Bible, hovering there, speaking the world into existence. Christopher Wright begins here and traces the Holy Spirit through the pages of the Old Testament.

An Amazing, Short, Accessible Book

I was using this to listen along with the paper book. The paper book is about 150ish pages long. I learned a lot and enjoyed the reading. I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about the Holy Spirit in Scripture (especially the OT)

Fantastic

Mere Christianity is a great book it is amazing how God would gift someone with no formal training to impact the world culturally through fiction writing and theologically through nonfiction. ... ""The Christian says Creatures are not born with desires unless satisfaction for those desires exists. A baby feels hunger: well, there is such a thing as food. A duckling wants to swim: well, there is such a thing as water. Men feel sexual desire: well, there is such a thing as sex. If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world."
