Story
Mike Rinder’s parents began taking him to their local Scientology center when he was five years old. After high school, he signed a billion-year contract and was admitted into Scientology’s elite inner circle, the Sea Organization. Brought to founder L. Ron Hubbard’s yacht and promised training in Hubbard’s most advanced techniques, Rinder was instead put to work swabbing the decks. Still, Rinder bought into the doctrine that his personal comfort was secondary to the higher purpose of Hubbard’s world-saving mission.

His story was riveting

I didn't like him calling Michael Jackson Jacko. it's derogatory. After the life he lead for him to pass judgment on Michael seemed wrong to me. It was a very good book, it held me from beginning to end. So hard to believe such intelligent people falling for this BS though.

Story
A world where dreams turn to reality and shadows hold untold secrets…I never used to remember my dreams—until I crossed paths with a vengeance-seeking vampire who cannot grasp the concept of 'personal space'. Don’t believe the lies; They don't require an invitation. As the youngest private investigator in the city of Phoenix, I assumed I'd seen it all. That was before I learned about the creatures lurking below the surface of human society. It could be contagious, because since discovering vampires exist, I can't stop dreaming of things I shouldn't have knowledge of.

I couldn't listen further after she couldn't figure out that Zachary and Zachariah were the same person. She even made note of the similar eyes that Zach and Adam the known vampire share. A private investigator she is?? Really??? She annoyed me so much I just couldn't continue. I skipped to the end and I'm glad I did the story goes absolutely no where. Waste of time and money.

Kept me engaged from start to finish. I loved the main characters so much. I pray they make a series out of this. I would love to see this bought to life. I don't understand why I've never read this before. Apocalyptic stories are my favorite and this has made it to the top of the list.

Story
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing as an average woman. But it’s the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute takes a very unscientific view of equality. Except for one: Calvin Evans; the lonely, brilliant, Nobel–prize nominated grudge-holder who falls in love with—of all things—her mind. True chemistry results.

Story
In 2004, Doctor Damien Howard's 131st birthday celebration took an unexpected turn. His personal SETI project detected an extraterrestrial signal directed at Earth. Unfortunately, Dr. Howard's long-hoped-for communication contained a message of dire warning rather than greeting. In 1945, humanity had become a species of galactic interest and was given 100 years to address the issue.

I was taken in immediately and was never let go. I pray they make this into a series. A movie wouldn't do it justice. I loved the story and all the characters they were so fleshed out and real to me. The reader was amazing and so talented to do all the voices. I hated it to end. When is book 2 coming out???? I'm a new fan definitely!

Story
Sixteen years ago, a teenaged Will Sterling saw - or rather, heard - the girl of his dreams. Standing beneath an apartment building balcony, he shared a perfect moment with a lovely, warm-voiced stranger. It's a memory that's never faded, though he's put so much of his past behind him. Now an unexpected inheritance has brought Will back to that same address, where he plans to offload his new property and get back to his regular life as an overworked doctor. Instead, he encounters a woman, two balconies above, who's uncannily familiar.

He did try
Reviewed: 12-04-20
This book shows me that he did try. I was hoping to hear more on Flint Michigan and their water crisis. It's the one problem I have with Obama. Other than that this man did his job to the best of his ability, despite the obstacle of Mitch McConnell. Why is he even in that position? He seems to hate Americans.
When I think that this intelligent man handled crisis after crisis and I barely felt any worry throughout his presidency compared to 4 years of constant chaos and destruction of the thing that's in the Whitehouse now. I shutter to think of the catastrophes we must have avoided with that lunatic as our leader. Thank God it's almost over. Thank you President Obama for all you did and still do.

Story
If any artist could brag about his contribution to the pop culture canon, it’s Smokey Robinson. His career is filled with so many “he was there” moments it’s a wonder he doesn’t recall them with the swagger of a conquering hero: songwriting and singing as a teenager in Detroit; co-founding Motown Records with Berry Gordy; creating 26 Top 40 hits with his group The Miracles; helping to spark racial integration of popular music in the 1960s; discovering hitmakers like Diana Ross and the Supremes; penning tunes for a jaw-droppingly diverse group of artists.

Story
Lacey Terwilliger's shock and humiliation over her husband's philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass e-mail to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town and a media punch line....
