It was supposed to be a simple Christmas wedding. Show up, play bridesmaid, and avoid my ex’s infuriating brother, but fate has other plans. Alpha Tanner Wilde is the definition of forbidden—my ex’s brother and the one man who is off-limits. But being snowed in has a way of changing things. The more time I spend with him, the harder it is to remember why I should stay away. His touch is electric, his presence overwhelming, and I’m losing the battle against the pull between us. It's 1 thing to use Virtual Voice
Reviewed: 11-04-24
It's one thing to use Virtual Voice and another thing entirely to use the wrong one. Because of the VV, I can't tell if the main person in the book is male or female and the whole thing is done in this super perky Voice. It's just too hard trying to figure out the plot because of it.

The series was quite good but the virtual voice did it no favors. I guess the story was strong enough that I went through the whole series tolerating it. I would still recommend the story and will check out other offerings from the author.

I love Grady Hendrix, but none of the reviews were very good about this book or the performance, but Auduble sent me a coupon for $10 off a book, so I figured how bad could it be fore a few bucks? Bad. I sped up the narrator like suggested, and that put her talking at a normal speed, which should have been fast. The story was rather "meh" but the narrator was the killer to the interest in this story. On top of everything else, Audible didn't credit me the coupon, so I had to pay full price for this. Lesson Learned.

I first found this author with the free Audible books included in my membership. I thought the title sounded weird- My Best Friends Exorcism- but gave it a shot. I was hooked! so I went tearing through all his other free books and thoroughly them too. I saw this one as a pre-order and went ahead and ordered it, and waited, and waited... Finally, the moment it dropped, I started in on this book, not knowing what to expect. The story, the twists and turns and more than a few wtf moments, was great! Now that it's over, I'm bummed, but satisfied.
