Clear, Faithful Biblical Explanation
- By Andrew Webber on 07-08-15
One of the best on the topic
Reviewed: 07-06-20
This is one of the most biblically based books you can read on the topic. Pastor Kevin presents his arguments in a concise and understandable manner. His stances are clearly backed by scripture, but his delivery is not demeaning or harsh as other articles or books on the topic. Pastor Kevin also presents the strongest arguments in favor of supporting the LGBT community as a Christian, but he shows that they aren't very strong arguments at all and not backed by scripture.

Story
Few subjects are as compelling-or as endlessly variable-as love and marriage. The Bible is filled with references to husbands and wives, from the story of Adam and Eve to advice in the New Testament, each open to interpretation. In The Meaning of Marriage, Timothy Keller, pastor of New York's Redeemer Presbyterian Church and bestselling author of The Reason for God, uses the scriptures as his guide to show readers what God's call to marriage is, and why this is such a powerful call.

Beautiful

Beautiful book for anyone thinking about marriage or already married. Many books talk about marriage from a non-biblical perspective. This book not only draws from the Bible, but does so in a readable way with lots of examples and personal narrative.

Story
Millions are satisfied to sit through hour-long, weekly religious services. Millions more have left the church, brokenhearted and cynical. But God is waking up his people - people who will risk everything and sacrifice anything to become the dynamic, powerful church seen in Scripture. We Are Church calls Christ-followers, young and old, to hold fast to their biblical roots while seeking radical change. Scripture promises an exuberant and unstoppable church. That wondrous early church of acts can be our reality today.
