Story
He may not win Father of the Year, but Clint Edwards has won the hearts of thousands, thanks to his candor and irreverence when it comes to raising kids, being married, and learning from his mistakes. Clint has three children: Tristan (the know it all), Norah (the snarky princess), and Aspen (the worst roommate ever). He describes parenting as "a million different gears turning in a million different directions, all of them covered in sour milk." In this inspiring and unconventional book of essays, he sheds light on the darker yet hilarious side of domestic life.

Really good book
Reviewed: 07-15-24
it's a pretty funny story but it does have some really good insights, for moms and dads. I would like to have all 4 of adult kids listen/read this before they have children. 2 are married and 2 single, so it'd be interesting to see what they each take away from it.

Story
On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

HORRIBLE narrator!
Reviewed: 04-02-23
Love this story. Stephen King is my favorite author, but the narrators voices for characters are horrid. It takes away from enjoying the book. I hope I never hear him again on another one.

Story
Among the greats of 20th-century horror and fantasy, few names stand above Richard Matheson. Though known by many for novels like I Am Legend and his 16 Twilight Zone episodes, Matheson truly shines in his chilling, masterful short stories. Since his first story appeared in 1950, virtually every major writer of science fiction and fantasy has fallen under his influence, including Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Peter Straub, and Joe Hill, as well as filmmakers like Stephen Spielberg and J. J. Abrams.

Brings back memories of old Twilight Zone episodes
Reviewed: 10-09-18
Many of these stories were the basis of episodes of the Twilight Zone. All of the short stories have that kind of feel. Wonderful work and great reading.

Good book. Couldn't stop listening.

I picked this book out because I heard it was being made into a movie. After listening, I can definitely understand why. It was quick paced and exciting from the start. And the 80s nostalgia really took me back. Highly recommend, especially for the gamer type.

Story
Nestled in the woods of Wisconsin, Safe Haven is miles from everything. With one road in and out, this is a town so peaceful it has never needed a full-time police force. Until now... A helicopter has crashed on the outskirts of town and something terrible has been unleashed. A classified secret weapon programmed to kill anything that stands in its way. Now it's headed for the nearest lights to do what it does best. Isolate. Terrorize. Annihilate.

Good book, awesome narriator.

The book wss not as scary as I had hoped, but very suspenseful with non-stop action. The narriator did an excellent job portraying the diffrrent characters which really helps you get into the story. Good listen.
