Publisher's summary

Marriage and kids are no joke.

He may not win Father of the Year, but Clint Edwards has won the hearts of thousands - including the New York Times, Scary Mommy, and Good Morning America - thanks to his candor and irreverence when it comes to raising kids, being married, and learning from his mistakes.

Clint has three children: Tristan (the know it all), Norah (the snarky princess), and Aspen (the worst roommate ever). He describes parenting as "a million different gears turning in a million different directions, all of them covered in sour milk." In this inspiring and unconventional book of essays, he sheds light on the darker yet hilarious side of domestic life.

Owning up to all his mishaps and dumbassery, Edwards shares essays on just about every topic fellow spouses and parents can appreciate, including: stupid things he's said to his pregnant wife, the trauma of taking a toddler shopping, revelations on buying a minivan, and the struggle to not fight the nosy neighbor (who is five years old).

Clint's funny, heartwarming account of the terrifying yet completely rewarding life of a parent is a breath of fresh air. Each essay in I'm Sorry...Love, Your Husband will have you thinking finally, someone gets it.

Loved it

This book was so relatable to any parents. As a mom I firmly believe if every dad reads this book it is going to help your marriage. He has an Understanding of both motherhood and fatherhood that afew fathers ever get to.

Good book!

Overall it was good! Well rounded and covered lots of great marriage topics that were humorous. Sometimes I just felt like he describes scenes in too much detail beating it to death.

Really good book

it's a pretty funny story but it does have some really good insights, for moms and dads. I would like to have all 4 of adult kids listen/read this before they have children. 2 are married and 2 single, so it'd be interesting to see what they each take away from it.

Thank you, from a wife

If these stories aren’t universal they are pretty close. It was refreshing to hear a different perspective on the inner workings of a family, and it was incredibly relatable. Not only as a mother, but as a spouse. Wives sometimes make the same mistakes as husbands and as parents we all seem to share the same guilty feelings about time spent with our kids. Looking forward to reading “Silence Is A Scary Sound”!

Great read

This book was very thought provoking, Informative, and helpful. I learned to be more confident as a father, be more considerate of the kids and Matt wife’s requests of my time. I value being a husband and father more after reading this one. I’m very thankful that I took a chance and read this one.

Funny, heartwarming and true.

I loved the book and wish my three sons would listen to it.
However it does bode both ways.
Almost a "Cats In The Cradle" story.

enlightening and insightful

I enjoyed being able to see a male's perspective of the situation and scenarios I. Deal with every day trying to get my husband. To open up an express himself is not easy and often complicates many situations we encounter.
This was enlightening and reassuring.

Funny and Thought-Proviking

This book was so relatable to me as a parent. The stories told are so funny and give perfect snippets into the world of parenting: the good, the bad, the ugly, and the beautiful. I have learned some deep parenting truths. The author’s introspection and reflections are thoughts I’ve had or started to have, but explained in a much more coherent and beautiful way, making me feel like someone gets it. Bravo, and well done. Can’t wait to read the next book.

First time father

I am a fort time father of a 4YO girl and I stumbled on Clint Edwards on IG. I’ve been wanting to read this for a long time and glad I finally did. More then anything it constantly reaffirms that kids do not come with instruction manuals and you need to roll with the punches daily.

It is stressful and exhausting but at the end of the day, it’s worth it.
