Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Interesting story (I did fast forward some of the too many romance scenes) made fantastically captivating by the beautiful narration of Davina Porter. I didn’t even realize when I was done.

Why do current medical guidelines insist that cosleeping is unsafe? What is the difference between SIDS and SUID, and are they related to cosleeping? What should parents do to make a safe sleep space for their infant? If a family chooses to cosleep, how should they respond to reproach from friends, family, or medical professionals? In Safe Infant Sleep, the world's authority on cosleeping breaks down the complicated political and social aspects of sleep safety, exposes common misconceptions, and compares current recommendations to hard science.

I can’t say how much this audiobook made me finally feel relieved. I really thought I was absolutely crazy for having such strong instincts that were at the opposite of what people told me would be good for me…like “don’t keep your baby in your arms”, “you need to sleep train your baby as soon as possible”, etc… My baby is only 2 months old for crying out loud! Now I don’t feel ashamed to just enjoy him… Thank you Dr McKenna.

Story
This is the way the world ends: with a nanosecond of computer error in a Defense Department laboratory and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And here is the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of its institutions and emptied of 99 percent of its people. A world in which a handful of panicky survivors choose sides - or are chosen.

Great but too lengthy
Reviewed: 03-02-21
I love anything from Stephen King and I had already read this novel. Some (actually many) chapters are too long and serve no purpose.
Grover Gardner made this 47hrs of audio sounds like 47s. Truly pleasurable to listen to.

Where are the appendixes?
Reviewed: 01-05-20
Very interesting audiobook and Adam Boyce is just the best narrator ever.
But I was expecting to have the appendixes (including with the meditations) too. Where do one find those? Isn’t it the whole point of the book?

I believe there's a lot to be taken from this book but not as an audiobook. I just couldn't go further than 1hr. I will give it a try with the hard cover.
I like to listen to audiobooks while commuting, driving, exercising and since there are plenty of references to the pdf ; it wasn't viable.

Story
From the day that old Nana Reja found a baby abandoned under a bridge, the life of a small Mexican town forever changed. Disfigured and covered in a blanket of bees, little Simonopio is for some locals the stuff of superstition, a child kissed by the devil. But he is welcomed by landowners Francisco and Beatriz Morales, who adopt him and care for him. As he grows up, Simonopio becomes a cause for wonder to the Morales family, because when the uncannily gifted child closes his eyes, he can see what no one else can - visions of all that’s yet to come, both beautiful and dangerous.

I am still trying to figure out whether I like this audiobook or not.
The story is interesting and has some good advice that I could take with me. But honestly, during the first 7hrs, I was battling to keep going. When I was about to give up and stop listening, that's when the story started to be passionning. Hence my 3 stars. First half : meh; second half : brillant.
