Too slow

I liked the book overall! I felt like the narration was very good but the story took too long to play out for me. I like a more fast paced and eventful mystery/ thriller. But I’ll be listening to the second book either way.

Story
Leonora, known to some as Lee and others as Nora, is a reclusive crime writer, unwilling to leave her nest of an apartment unless it is absolutely necessary. When a friend she hasn't seen or spoken to in years unexpectedly invites Nora ( Lee) to a weekend away in an eerie glass house deep in the English countryside, she reluctantly agrees to make the trip. Forty-eight hours later, she wakes up in a hospital bed injured but alive, with the knowledge that someone is dead.

This story took a turn I didn’t expect it to take. & I very much enjoyed how everything played out in the end. It’s definitely worth a listen.

Give it a chance

The story for this book started off very weird but ended up having a cool twist to the ending. I wasn't completely immersed into the story until about halfway into it. So you may not like the book as you start off but give it a chance. It definitely takes a turn that you don't expect at the end. Overall a good buy in my opinion
