Story
The bad boy and the golden girl have traded places….I’m back in Harvest Hollow after ten years to prove a point and to even a few scores. I’ve opened a new bar, and anyone expecting the old sweet and shy Jolie McGraw to be running it is in for a shock. I’m not the only one who’s changed: when the sheriff comes to tell me I’m the prime suspect in the most ridiculous crime in town history, it’s none other than Lucas Cole, the former star of my teenage stress dreams, wearing the badge.

Love it!

Loved the story. Loved the characters. Only thing I did not like - I wish the narrator had been a female and male. NOTHING wrong with the female narrator at all. She is great. But I would have loved for the male character to have a male voice. Sometimes it was a little confusing when the male was talking and it was a female voice.

Took me a little bit to get into the story - but I was glad I stuck with it. It was the perfect way to wrap up this trilogy. Unless . . . She decides to write about David.

Ambrose Young was beautiful. He was tall and muscular, with hair that touched his shoulders and eyes that burned right through you. The kind of beautiful that graced the covers of romance novels, and Fern Taylor would know. She'd been reading them since she was 13. But maybe because he was so beautiful he was never someone Fern thought she could have...until he wasn't beautiful anymore.

Certain they're fated to find each other again, Laurie spends a year scanning every bus stop and cafe in London for him. But she doesn't find him, not when it matters anyway. Instead they "reunite" at a Christmas party, when her best friend, Sarah, giddily introduces her new boyfriend: the man from the bus.

Captivating

I downloaded this title by accident but listened to it anyway. I loved the story. The intrigue. The twists and turns. The story was great. What I didn’t like was the language in the story. The story could tell itself without the constant use of words I don’t use nor care to hear. There were several times I almost stopped listening because of the language and to my own detriment - I listened anyway. I was so intrigued with the story and wanted to know what happened next. As much as I enjoyed this story- I will not listen to this author again simply because of the language.
