Story
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

Tiffany is hilarious and I enjoy everything she does. The book goes by quickly. I love how expressive she is. There is some adult language but I enjoy that as well so it wasn't a problem for me. I'm very curious to find out about the people she doesn't specifically name.

Story
Set in present-day Los Angeles, Junk explores an epic conspiracy, one at work for thousands of years that involves total takeover of the planet Earth by aliens. In the wild, souped-up vision of Les Bohem - the acclaimed, Emmy-winning writer of the Steven Spielberg miniseries, Taken - the world is at the end stage of long-range plot that involves a gigantic genetic-engineering project. The aliens who have invaded us have no planet. No spaceship is coming. Instead, a small advance force comes, breeds, and dies - thus becoming an anomaly in our DNA that can’t be explained.

I don't know how to review this
Reviewed: 05-20-20
I am not a writer but am an amateur editor and avid reader. I'm still listening to this trilogy and I honestly can't wait for it to be over. The narration is good and bad. Easy to listen to and does a decent job of distinguishing between characters but the cursing and exclamations will make you laugh out loud, and not with it but at it. Reading the book would definitely be different so I recommend reading and not listening to this one. Also her pronunciation of certain words had me gobsmacked.
This is not a thriller, there's a lot of made up angst and the characters are so intense all the time but that doesn't make it a thriller. The story is interesting but I found the transitions between scenes to be weird or non-existent. All of a sudden you're somewhere else and it just felt awkward.
I've never wanted a book to be over faster. The main character is infuriating - she's weak and panicky. She can't deal with anything. The main characters that are men are ridiculous. I also realized through the second book that I didn't have a good idea in my mind of what the characters looked like. Again, the story is interesting and different than most novels of this type but it still seems disjointed and odd the way it's told.
The main characters don't deal with anything really well and so much is "overwhelming" and nothing they seem to do makes sense. I've got a little over 3 hours until I'm done and I can't wait for the intensity to end. The characters are obsessed with each other and it's exhausting to be honest. I hope that all this is because I'm not much of a romantic. But the characters were constantly upset with one another because they weren't calling each other and hadn't heard from each other. That got old really quickly. They're always irritated and snipey with each other as well for seemingly no reason.
I was given a free code for this trilogy in exchange for an honest review.

Not what I expected from Koontz!
Reviewed: 11-25-19
I thoroughly enjoyed this short 6 book series. It's not what Koontz would normally do but is oddly familiar. I half expected the ending and that pleased me. I'd read novel after novel about Nameless. I hope this isn't the read. The scenarios were intriguing, maybe a little far-fetched but still interesting. Others seemed completely realistic. I listened to all 6 on my commute to work in just a few days and I could've kept listening until the end of time. The narrator has a comforting but not boring tone and was very easy on the ears.
