About this listen

Would your character change...
if you had all the money in the world?
And all the time?
Would you become a better person?
Or worse?

Imagine Agatha Christie meets Michael Crichton in a fast-paced, philosophical mystery thriller.

There’s a secret in Silicon Valley. A discovery. An invention. One so startling and surprisingly sinister that it needs to be kept - at any price.

Tim Tigner takes a step back from his best-selling Kyle Achilles series to introduce Zachary Chase and Skylar Fawkes in a fresh stand-alone novel that’s bound to keep you glued and guessing. With secret meetings, sudden disappearances and strange murders, secret agents, skillful assassins, and sexy locations, The Price of Time is packed with fast-paced action and first-class intellectual intrigue.

Propelling the thrills and perched at the middle of the mystery is one of humanity’s great questions: Would finding the Fountain of Youth be a blessing?

Prepare for sleep-deprived nights and skipped chores while repeating the phrase: "Just one more minute."

Amazon named Tim Tigner an All-Star Author in December 2017 and every month since for being one of the most popular authors in Kindle Unlimited.

I honestly thought this was about time travel and corporate skullduggery, it was neither. Stories about eternal youth usually have a 'catch' to them so I avoid such stories, but I liked the narrator and Zachary Chase so I continued. If it were not for those two factors I would have skipped this all together.

Started great but ….

You had to stretch your imagination to really buy in to the overall premise of the book. Based on some of the other books by Tim Tinger, I read this one had very little mystery or any suspense at all. I did not enjoy this book as much as some of his other books.

It was just ok

Incorporating the dimension of time opens great possibilities.
The pace and narration were good, but I found the plot lacking as it progressed

Good setup weak follow through

Quite an ingenious piece of writing. The fluidity of the tale is amazing. It fills non-fictional in some instances. I particularly like the references used in description. Simply brilliant

I went thru so many emotions listening to this book. Firstly, I think the narrator is marginal. Although he handles the men's voices O.K., the women's tones are horrible and began an undeserved (or reserved) dislike of the book. Secondly, the sound production was off the mark. It was s-o-o-o slow; only when I sped up to 1.25 was I able to concentrate on the story. Unfortunately, that was more than 2 hours into the book. Thirdly, the story -- actually, not bad by the time I got to the final quarter of the book. But any story that is hindered by the audible production and then doesn't "take off" until the second half is not worthy of high ratings.

Pretty good, Narration got in the way

hated how this ended.
but was a good hook if there is a second one.
Loved Skyler, Chase is good too.
Too many unanquestions though. though.
Not sure I will continue with series.
Great narrator!

interesting premise

Sometimes the story is a bit predictable but overall i love the opportunity to explore such a fantastic premise. Worth the listen.

Good twists

I had no trouble listening to this story because it's very much like other stories on TV and in the movies and were used to them. my problem with this story is it brings me to the disappointing realization in the ultimate failure of The Human Condition. what is that you say why it is the ability to control life and death. but it's the other side of the problem. where a king or dictator has the power to Grant life or death but it's only from the point of view of deciding not to kill, versus the ability to Grant eternal life, and then deciding to keep that power to them self and not to share for selfish reasons. it's just very disappointing but very likely in the world we live in today.

if you love life you may be disappointed

Mostly easy reading, although the characters were a bit difficult to get into in the beginning. An original idea and approach. Not fantastic or great, but worth the listen.

This book almost felt like two thrillers in one. How do I say this without spoiling?
Let‘s try this: While the „heroes“ try to uncover what the „bad guys“ are up to, the bad guys themselves struggle to find out what is happening/being done to them. Both plot lines are very exciting and the solutions are not revealed until almost the very end. Very captivating story.

If you liked any other book by Tim Tigner, definitely give this one a go too! You know what to expect.
