totally hooked

This is the 4th book in the series. Finally, we learn possible hints about Lilly's past. I lived the Countess getting her tempest up because she's more relatable. This is not your typical story as compared to the other three - no balls or anything like that, but I really enjoyed it. sorry for the scatterbrained review- my mind is still processing all that's going on between Mr. X, and Lady Dunbridge, and Detective Sargeant Atkins... and now that Preswick, we'll, I won't say more. I'm impatient for the next book to be released now!

It has everything she’s looking for: sunny beaches, friendly locals, and a Help Wanted sign in the bakery shop window. Once she convinces the shop’s crusty owner Sam Hepplewhite to hire her, Kate can’t tie on her apron fast enough. Little does she know that trouble, like warm dough, is on the rise.

I enjoyed listening quite a bit, but waiting for Aiden and Savannah to kiss took too long. He asked her if they could go out sometime at the end of the first book, which was October, and they don’t kiss until May? Or early June? That’s a little hard to believe.

Enjoyed the story. I guessed who the killer was, but didn't grasp all the little clues until the very end. I'm not sure if I'll continue to listen, however. The narrator has given the women a whiny quality. I get that Liza is "old", but she doesn't strike me as a whiner.

Darker than the first 2
Reviewed: 06-20-19
I have started this recording several times over the past couple of weeks. I want to finish it, but I don't at the same time. The story starts out with characters other than Danielle and Walt. It's a little confusing to keep track of these sketchy characters and all that they've done. I am maybe halfway through now and skipped to the last two chapters. While I honestly don't know what happens in the middle, my hunches were right on all fronts. I am not enjoying this one and would have been okay with skipping it altogether. I'll give the series another book and if it's just as unpleasant, I'm looking for a new series.
