Something different from Eric Jerome Dickey
Reviewed: 08-07-12
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Although I like the fact the Eric Jerome Dickey attempted something outside of his norm with this story, I can't say that I loved it. The story was just okay to me and some parts were just unrealistic.
What about Christopher Lane’s performance did you like?
I thought the narrator, Christopher Lane, did a great job with the different character's voices.
Was An Accidental Affair worth the listening time?
I wish I would have selected another EJD book.

The both the narrator and the editor were terrible; it seems like the narrator had trouble reading the story and they didn't even bother to correct the mistakes.
As for the actual story, it was just okay. I think there too many "main characters" and as other reviewers mentioned, the ending sucks. It's like the author just got tired of writing or something.

Story
All Damali Richards ever wanted to do was create music and bring it to the people. Now she is a Spoken Word artist and the top act for Warriors of Light Records. But come nightfall, she hunts vampires and demons - predators that people tend to dismiss as myth or fantasy. But Damali and her Guardian team cannot afford such delusions, especially now, when a group of rogue vampires have been killing the artists of Warriors of Light and their rival, Blood Music.

This story had potential but the narrator ruined it. Her voice just didn't suit the story.
