Story
Hermann Kermit Warm is going to die. The enigmatic and powerful man known only as the Commodore has ordered it, and his henchmen, Eli and Charlie Sisters, will make sure of it. Though Eli doesn't share his brother's appetite for whiskey and killing, he's never known anything else. But their prey isn't an easy mark, and on the road from Oregon City to Warm's gold-mining claim outside Sacramento, Eli begins to question what he does for a living - and whom he does it for. With The Sisters Brothers, Patrick deWitt pays homage to the classic Western....

Story
A classic about the American West and the life and times of one tough cowboy, Monte Walsh. Partial to pretty women, gambling, and practical jokes, Monte doesn't have to look far to find trouble. Luckily for him, Monte's best friend, Chet, is always there to post bail or quickly get Monte out of town. As Monte grows older, though, and the West inevitably changes, he resists changing with it, and shows his dedication and loyalty to the cowboy way of life.

Monte Walsh is a must read for western fans

Monte Walsh is a man few are like but many rightfully strive to be. this book tells his story from boyhood through his later years, from after the civil war till the end of the wild west. Monte's love of horses and strong sense of individualism keep the spirit of the west alive and is a must read for western fans as it truthfully earns the title of CLASSIC WESTERN.

Story
In the midst of America's Civil War, the fighting in the mountains of the Northwest is between the white soldiers and the Indian tribes. An independent man with bonds in both worlds, Moses Calhoun finds himself caught between the opposing sides. If he is going to survive, he must rely on his skill in the mountains. If you love a Mountain Western so cold you need a blanket to read it, then grab your flintlock rifle and your possibles bag, and saddle up for this ride through the frozen Northwest. Make sure you've got plenty of powder and shot, because there will be blood on the mountain.

Story
In this brilliant biography T. J. Stiles offers a new understanding of the legendary outlaw Jesse James. Although he has often been portrayed as a Robin Hood of the old west, in this ground-breaking work Stiles places James within the context of the bloody conflicts of the Civil War to reveal a much more complicated and significant figure.
