Story
Just like Superman, followers of Christ have the supernatural ability to conquer the challenges we face. But the problem for both Superman and us is there's a kryptonite that steals our strength. Of course, both Superman and kryptonite are fictional. But spiritual kryptonite is not. This book offers answers to why so many people - and the churches they attend - are unable to experience the divine strength that was evident among the first-century Christians. In Killing Kryptonite, John Bevere reveals what this kryptonite is and how to break free from its bondage.

Thank you

Thank you John Bevere for bringing truth to the believers. It’s seems that the churches don’t want us to understand the importance of
Sanctification. This is critical. I think many are going to be disappointed when they meet Jesus face-to-face at the judgment seat of Christ, when they never addressed the sin in their lives. What a joy it is to know him and allow his grace to be the divine influence on our heart. Matt 6:33 May we all continue to seek God daily so that we know him well and be in his word daily, Revelation 3:5 so that we may overcome and our names will not be blotted out of the book of life.

Story
You are what you have. You are how you look. You are who you know. Our culture endlessly echoes these lies that hold many men and women captive. Your value, our world says, is a matter of sight - clothes, cars, youth, power, and beauty will make you worth something. But you don't have to measure yourself by the world's standards. You are not what they see. You are who God sees.

Darkness of the pursuit of the perfect weight exposed

Lisa did a great job of the explaining how she got sucked in to the lifestyle in college of being obsessed with her weight and looks. She also did a great job explaining how the girls in her sorority we’re not able to maintain that look without extreme measures of exercise, bulimia and or anorexia. I had learned in the past that the most miserable and insecure people in the world were the fashion models. The lies that the enemy feeds us that we have to be a certain weight to be acceptable is nothing more than his lies and idolatry. May this book bring truth to you and expose the lies that you believed of what makes you valuable. Our value does not come from what the scale says. We are more then a number. Lisa I love the fact that you and John raised your sons up to know what God values in a woman and not the world. I also love the way that once you took your focus off your weight (idolatry) and put it on God, God worked everything out with your metabolism without dieting and excessive exercise. God is faithful, thank you for sharing.

Story
Anyone can see it: We're captivated by the idea of eternity. No generation or culture can resist its draw. And some part of you already knows this, doesn't it? It's the reason you're thinking about buying this book. God created us with eternity in our hearts because this life is merely a glimpse of what's to come. But what do we know about eternity? Is there more to it than pitchforks and harps? And if so, is any of it relevant to the life we're living now?

Truth that can't afford to be missed

Today many pastors are preaching a watered down gospel. You are responsible for the life you lead and how you choose to invest your time. Know the word of God by making time for the lord each and every day, don't just hear the word but be a doer of the word. You don't grow muscles by just showing up at the gym, you just take action. Same with your relationship. You can't get to know Gods will without making time daily to get to know him.

I have been passionately pursuing personal and spiritual growth and development for the last 10 years. In fact it's my number one hobby. However in the mist of this passionate pursuit I've almost destroyed my marriage. My husband has felt unsafe, judged and unworthy. He's felt like he can't keep up with all my growth and it's caused him to feel unworthy. Reading this book has not only transformed my life but it's also transforming my marriage. It's teaching me how to take responsibility for my actions and my life and to let others take responsibility for their's. It's teaching me instead of being a fixer to be a validator and a good listener. Who wouldn't want a spouse or friend that validates, supports, hears and understands you. I am committed to being that person. Thank you Gary Smalley!
