Zzzz oh I'm sorry did something happen yet? This book was about a man from when his parents first meet until he grows up and has his own kid. But only in the last couple chapters does anything "changeling" happen. The first 80% of this book could have been summed up in 1 chapter. Not sure how I made it through.

Anoyingly Boring
Reviewed: 12-14-18
I stuck it out through the first 1/2 where it was just one persons account of the story but the second 1/2 is a jumble of different peoples accounts and it gets so pointless and confusing. I have no idea why they are doing this or why they think it is worth it. Waste of time for the characters and frankly waste of time for the reader as well.

Story
It’s bad enough that its venom-dripping chelicerae can slice through flesh like warm butter. Worse? It’s right there under the bunk. It’s a fact now. To make it through the night, the children must obey the rules: don’t get out of bed, stay out of the shadows, and don’t wake the beast. But as the threats multiply, so do the rules of survival. And with the safety of dawn still hours away, the fun is just beginning.

This is a story told by two young boys and it sounds like it too. Its like saying the floor is hot lava and then play like it really is. It's like you asked a 10 year old to make up a story on the spot and he does. it's AWEFUL!

Clive Barker has made his mark on modern fiction by exposing all that is surreal and magical in the ordinary world - and exploring the profound and overwhelming terror that results. With its volatile mix of the fantastical and the contemporary, the everyday and the otherworldly, Weaveworld is an epic work of dark fantasy and horror - a tour de force from one of today's most forceful and imaginative artists.

SO bored. I kept trying to tough it out and every time I looked at the time stamp I still had a million hours left. This is marketed as "Scary" and "Horror" but it's not. It's a very long very uneventful story about a carpet and some really dumb people trying to get/ keep or for themselves. Also lots of annoying made up words that have very normal meanings.
Raptures: Magic/ Glammer
Menstrum: Also Magic (And way too close to something icky)
KOOKOOs: People/ Humans

Bugs not animals

The author is quite confuse on the definition of animals, he mostly plays with bugs. Also I found the family very rude and everyone's treatment each other and their animals to be cruel.
