Story
My husband and I are fighting for our lives in hospital after a terrible car accident. But despite my pain, all I can think about is what our families will find behind our front door. The scarf that has been all over the news, belonging to a dead young woman with honey-coloured hair. I have to speak to the police before my husband can. I’m drifting in and out of consciousness, but when I hear my wife talking to the police, accusing me of the murder of an innocent woman, a cold fear grips me. I know I’ve got a temper.

I love Frieda's writing style and I always find myself immersed in her books. I had a theory about who was responsible at the beginning but I was completely wrong. I never saw the end coming. The author does a good job of hiding the clues.

His dramatic conversion to Christianity and subsequent seminary training inform his views on homosexuality - personally, biblically, theologically, and culturally - and his compelling audiobook guides listeners through this complex and controversial issue while revealing how to lovingly engage with those who disagree.

Initially, I heard Becket's testimony on Youtube on Allie Beth Stuckey's channel, and I really enjoyed hearing about his passion for the Lord and the work God had done in his life. I checked out his channel and then decided to get his book because I love Christian testimonies and wanted to hear more details. This book was enthralling and easy to listen to. I especially liked the last part where he goes over common questions about homosexuality and he shares some Biblical principles that apply. I've already recommended this book to others and will continue doing so because it's a great resource for anyone wanting to have a better understanding of the issue of homosexuality from a Christian perspective. I also plan to listen to more YouTube videos from Becket's channel. He has such a personable personality that you feel he could easily be a friend if you knew him in real life.

I really enjoyed this book by Leah Garriott. The premise hooked me from the very beginning and even though the heroine was a little (actually a lot) stubborn, I liked seeing her growth and change of heart. There were a lot of twists and turns that kept the story interesting.

This book hooked me from the start. I loved Sue Watson's writing style and it was easy to get caught up in the story. The narrator did a wonderful job as well, and she had distinct voices for each character. There were moments that were hard to get through. I was never bored, but the conflict was drawn out a little too long, and I wanted to shake some sense into Claire, the main character, and tell her to communicate and stand up for herself. But the ending was phenomenal. She finally grows from the experience and makes the right choices for herself. I'm looking forward to reading more of Sue's books.

Story
Ten years ago he killed my son. Today I married him. Ten years ago my darling son Jesse was murdered and our perfect family was destroyed. My strong, handsome boy, so full of life, became a memory, a photo I carried with me everywhere. But today I’m finally close to finding happiness again. My ash-blonde hair has been curled into ringlets. Carefully placed white flowers frame my delicate features. The small, drab chapel has been prettied up with white satin, and there are tiny red hearts scattered on the small table where I will soon sign the register with my new husband.

Love all of Shalini's books
Reviewed: 12-14-21
I've loved every Shalini Boland book that I've read. This is the first audio book of hers that I've listened to, and it was so good. I was sucked into the story from the very beginning and had a hard time putting this one down. I had a family event I had committed to and was having a hard time tearing myself away from this audiobook before I had to leave. I kept saying, "five more minutes." Shalini has a way of making you care for the characters and she keeps you guessing throughout the entire story. This one is one of her best. The narration is also really good. I highly recommend.
