No consent = rape. Rape is never sexy! It’s shameful to peddle such story as romance.

Horrible story, cliff hanger, no chemistry, awful parents who are forcing daughter to just be an object and brood mare under the guise of loving fathers with throughout will.

It was a horrible plot and even worse narration. I barely managed to finish it off with a slight hope it would improve but it didn’t.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Entirely different book. I think fans of the 1st two books could do a better job finishing the story in a satisfying and consistent tone.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No. It butchered an interesting story line and left you hanging and unsatisfied. The whole feel of the third book is disjointed, unbelievable, underdeveloped, and unsatisfying. It seems like a new plot line occurred to the author and she tried to link it into an already existing story. I was bored, frustrated, and annoyed most of the book and increasing terrified as the hour count got smaller and I realized there wasn't enough time to save the story and series.

Any additional comments?

There's nothing worse than becoming invested in a series and it's characters for the story to just fizzle out and not live up to it's promise. Big traumatic moments can make a story poignant, but sometimes, as in Allegiant, it just seemed lazy and self-indulgent.
