Story
"Cody Davis is gonna make a sinner out of me." Yes, I know exactly who he is. The wounded soldier at the end of Willow Street. Intimidating. Devastatingly handsome. Muscular body chiseled from stone. Deep dark eyes that dare you to come near. Attitude for days. And I just became his caregiver. Everyone warned me to stay away from him - including my father, the respected minister of our small town of Spruce. But clearly, I'm too stubborn to heed good advice, especially when Cody Davis is as frustratingly attractive - and persistent - as they come.

I loved how they showed the positive side of the church. The story line was great and kept my attention from beginning to end. There wasn't a dull moment where I felt it was dragging in for too long. The naration was the best. They told the story very well. thank you for sharing.

It was so great being part of such a story. I could just imagine our two main characters, their internal struggles. Falling in love with the enemy and finally finding a home in each other, something to live for, memories worth holding on to after living a life in shame when duty clashed with self.
I really enjoyed this book, it took us to a whole new fantasy world.
the naration was perfect and on point. never rushed and clear.
Excellent write, I can't wait to see what comes next.

I loved and enjoyed it so very much. The story line was easy to follow and grabbing. I couldn't stop listening to it, but then again that's how it always goes when I listen to Mary Calmes books. They are always so entertaining and fun to read and the narators as well are always great, Tristan James brought the characters to life. He read so well, not rushing through the lines. Great write indeed.

Story
Jory Harcourt doesn't have to go looking for trouble. Wherever he goes, it seems to find him - particularly when his partner, Sam Kage, is working undercover on a federal task force. After the recession forces him to close his business, Jory goes to work as a matchmaker and event planner. From there, it's only a matter of time before his big mouth and up-front attitude make him the rope in a tug-of-war between a trust-fund baby and a drug-smuggling criminal.

Following Jorry and Sam's story has been so much fun. seeing their love grow stronger with each moment spent together is just perfect.
The change of the Narrator was quite an adjustment. The narration for the first four books made listening such a pleasure and I missed it on this book. I missed Sam's tone of voice when he said 'What the fuck is going on?'. Other than change, it was a pleasure and so much fun listening to this audiobook and I look forward to listening to the next.
