A fantastic mix of Viking lore, science fiction, and Christian romance; The Vikings of Loch Morar had me edge of my seat the entire listen. The narration was wonderful, and the character development was stunning. The beautifully redemptive ending left me in tears.

14-year-old Ruth Anne says: “A teenage boy...peanut butter...and strange occurrences in and under Iron Mountain. The Lake Lights is a tale sure to interest any boy or girl! The narration is superb and the storyline was still as good as when I first read it.”

12-year-old Mary Kate says: “I liked The Lake Lights because the characters are strong and well-written. I liked the futuristic prologue. I am really excited for the next book!”

10-year-old Daniel says: “The Lake Lights has amazing characters, an awesome plot, and a good narrator.”

6-year-old Sara says: "I didn't think I would like The Lake Lights at first...but at the end I discovered I really liked it. My favorite character is Grandpa Roberts. I love the first book and I'm expecting I'll love the next book, too, when it's on Audible."

Ruth Ann says:

Archer and Zowie are best friends, BUT they don’t always get along with each other.

Archer is the better thinker of the two, but Zowie can ask more questions. They are both rather curious about new things as they travel through space. So hop onto their treehouse/space ship and get ready to explore another planet as they fight off penguin aliens and learn the hans’ weakness/strength.

This book is really silly. That’s why I like it. Mr. Bluedorn is great!!

What did you love best about A Really-Truly Princess?

I loved the way the audiobook brought an already favorite book even more alive to my daughters. My 8-year-old daughter told me, "Mom, I don't want to just listen to it 1 time. I want to listen to it 100 times!"

Who was your favorite character and why?

My girls love Rosellen because she tries so much to be like storybook princesses when she's a real life princess.

What does Sarah Kempton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

My daughters loved the way she gave each character a unique voice. The narrator's beautiful, lilting accent was very pleasant to listen to.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Fairy Tale Meets True Life

Any additional comments?

Even my 6-year-old son is already hoping for a sequel. "She's a really good writer," he said.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I love Valerie Comer's books, and was thrilled to experience them again on audio.

What three words best describe Becky Doughty’s performance?

While Becky did a great job with different voices for each character, I felt that her performance lacked enthusiasm and inflection. Had I not already loved the story and its characters, this might have diminished in some degree my enjoyment of the audiobook.
