I really could listen to Julia read the phonebook... I thought. It took me so long to finish this book. Skip this one, and maybe the next too.

A good story, marred by rudimentary writing.

I finished the book due to the story being strong enough to hold you to the end, but the writing felt like a YA novel. The dialogue was immature, and at moments felt very unrealistic. The story deserved a bit better.

This is my 5th or so read from Sheila, and probably my least favorite. Narration was pretty good. Character development was decent, but the story dragged on and I found myself begging for it to be over. You can feel the lack of inspiration.

I was a little disappointed they added a second female narrator, but I understand that now, since there are so many female characters, it could get confusing. Aoife is just so fantastic. I'm really thrilled by this series, and the ending gives you a peek at what's to come! can't wait!

As a doctor, I walk a dangerously delicate balance of being compassionate but not overly invested. The same is true in my personal life - love is a luxury I can’t afford. It isn’t until Dr. Westin Grant breaks down all my walls and offers me a future, I find myself wondering if I’m brave enough to risk my heart. When who I was and who I’ve tried to become collide during my clinical trial, the fate of one patient changes everything.
