Caught up with the alluring Asa Jackson, a notorious drug trafficker, Sloan has finally found a lifeline to cling to, even if it’s meant compromising her morals. Hard to listen to when there is abuse and control happening.

I am usually a fan of her books but this one was hard for me. The storyline made is difficult to finish. Glad it ended the way it should but it took way too long getting there.

Where the story took place and the history was very interesting to me. I literally listened to this in two days. I wish there was a sequel!

Story
Jess needs a fresh start. She’s broke and alone, and she’s just left her job under less than ideal circumstances. Her half-brother Ben didn’t sound thrilled when she asked if she could crash with him for a bit, but he didn’t say no, and surely everything will look better from Paris. Only when she shows up – to find a very nice apartment, could Ben really have afforded this? – he’s not there.

Great easy read

Love that the setting was in Paris art an older upscale house. Lots of twist and turns with characters and the fact that it’s a man not girl who goes missing this time.
