Story
There's no such thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes—all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediate yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there’s nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong . . . unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake.

This was not an easy love story. This was about two people who fell in love and had to fight for their relationship. They had life to deal with, tragedy to face and endure, distance, money issues… heartache. Through it all, they supported and loved each other and grew their friendship, respect, and selves. It was intense, emotional, and fantastically narrated. Loved this book!

Story
Working as a nanny for the world’s grumpiest single dad should have been simple. Except I can’t keep my eyes off him. And he can’t keep his hands off of me. Cade Eaton is 13 years older than I am and barely looks my way. Until I get him into the hot tub one night for a game of truth or dare. Then all bets are off—and so are our clothes. He’s gruff, a little rough around the edges. But broad-shouldered ranchers with calloused hands and filthy mouths are this city girl’s kryptonite. So who am I to resist?

Story
When I was nine, I went to my first funeral. Along with accepting my father's death, I had to accept new and awful truths I wasn't prepared for. When I was nineteen, I went to my mother's funeral. We weren't close, but with her gone, I became more alone than ever before. Sure, I have a half-brother who runs The Alliance. And yeah, he's given me his protection—in the form of a bodyguard and chauffeur. But I don't have anyone that really knows me. No one to really love me. Until I meet him. The man in the airport.

I was upgraded to first class on a flight from London to New York. The food, champagne, and service were impeccable. The blue-eyed man sitting next to me, even better. He was suave and intelligent. We talked and laughed, and something clicked. Fate took over and the plane was grounded, and we had an unexpected stopover for the night. With no plans, we made our own.

Story
Running away from home at 17 wasn't easy. Let's face it, though, nothing before or in the ten years since has ever been easy for me. And I'm doing okay—sorta. I just need to keep scraping by, living under the radar. Staying out of people's way, off people's minds. When a man walks through my open patio door, stepping boldly into my home and my life, I should be scared, frightened, terrified. I must be more broken than I realized because I'm none of those things. I'm intrigued—and I'm wondering if the way to take control of my life is by giving in to him.

At times I didn’t like Nero because I wanted him to be kinder to Paton, but in the end he came around. I enjoyed banter between all the characters. The narrator’s voices were fitting to the characters. I will be listening to the rest of the series.

Story
My friends used to tell me, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." Clearly, they lied because a few months later, I found out my one-night stand was pregnant. I couldn't handle a baby. I was Griffin Rockwell, the best wide receiver the league had ever seen. But what choice did I have? My baby girl was coming whether I was ready for her or not. Brooke turned out to be an amazing woman and mother. For seven years, we were the MVP's of co-parenting - and even better friends. That all changed when tragedy struck our makeshift family....

Wasted, covered in glitter, and wearing the ugliest dress in existence. Also known as: me, the night I stumble into bed with a Fairfield. Cohen isn't my type. I mean, other than his legendary family genes, and a smirk that leaves me as breathless as it does enraged. One night. That's all I want. Then daylight comes, and all I want is to forget him. There's just one problem: that night was too incredible to black out. Actually, there are two problems. Now my sister wants me to be her surrogate. To carry her child. To be pregnant. But, as luck would have it . . . I already am.

Not the typical love story
Reviewed: 05-19-25
I liked this book because it was unexpected. Of course it took a usual course, but in an unusual way. The guy was kind of a loser, didn’t have the alpha male thing going on, smoked too much pot, had a run down apartment… no car, no career. But he had a heart and cared. He was funny and loyal and made himself present. It was a good book to listen to.

Realistic life stories
Reviewed: 05-15-25
This novel was packed full of reality. The realistic stories of each friend was captivating and relatable in one way or another. I absolutely HATE affairs and really struggled with Phill and Geri’s scenario. I hate women who go after married men and the entire time I wanted in my head to beat the crap out of the “other woman”. The way Geri handled it to me was miraculous and classy, I’m afraid I would never be able to do what she did. If another woman went after my husband I’m certain I would not handle it that well. I love Bob and Aimee’s relationship and how he was so kind to her son in his situation. I loved Sonia and her turn around and BJ and her tenacity and grit. I love that she chose her children over an abusive husband and paid the price for it. She knew what the consequences would be, but chose the hard way and did what she had to do. This was a wonderful story, I cried and laughed and had all the feels. Highly recommend!

Story
Lennox Kennedy is beautiful, loud, and the love of my life. She's also my ex-girlfriend. The first time I saw her after ten years apart, I slammed into the plexiglass minutes before our game was set to begin. The second time I threw up. The third time's a charm apparently because as my fiancée and I walked into an appointment to meet the woman hired to plan our nuptials—there she was again. Obviously, I did what any smart man would do—I called off the wedding. I don't have a plan per se, other than winning back the only girl I've ever loved.
