If you are looking for just sex, this story isn't for you. It's a very sweet tale of emotional healing for a physically abused widow and her ill baby, and a war torn vet. The author does her usual amazing job of taking a short story format but able to fully develop its characters and bring them to life. We see characters from Ms. Long's previous stories make short appearances.

A sweet, happily ever after romance :-)

Another great story from that dynamic duo, A J Tipton :-) Worth a credit or a buy - wish I could transport myself to the Wondernasium Hotel right now ;-)

I loved the writing! Great storyline - Billionaire Bearshifter, Cleo pisses off some witches during a biz deal, and they send her... well, you'll find out :-)

Wonderful humor, fun characters and great sex scenes - plus love conquers all - I'm definitely going to get more A J Tipton stories!

Good debut story for this author

Enjoyable hot romp with...oops! A new stepbrother. How the author brought humor into the story made it very entertaining - plus well developed and likeable characters.

Ms Heart did a great job with the characters as she usually does. I don't get the 'trolling' bad review by someone named 'David' - he listens to "hundreds" of audiobooks but he has only 3 in his Audible library??? And this is his only review. Sorry, 'David' - you're not very credible.

FYI - this isn't a romance per se - just lots of hot fun between two young adults. So if you are looking for a hot, humorous, steamy good time in an hour short, this may fill the bill :-)

Finally, a decent accent and straight sex!

Would you consider the audio edition of Escaping Into the Arms of My Highland Lover to be better than the print version?

Yes, it brings the characters to life in my ears :-)

I'm glad that the author does actually write straight sex Highlander roms! I was beginning to think he only wrote Highlander roms with shapeshifters and rough, menage type sex.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have gotten a different male narrator for the story or had the narrator work more on his Scottish inflection. Mr. Rising has a lovely sounding voice, but he didn't really fit well as a Scottish Highlander.

I did like the use of two narrators though for a change :-)

Which character – as performed by Veronica Heart and Turner Rising – was your favorite?

Flora for Ms. Heart - she actually did well with performing a Scottish accent, almost to the point where I couldn't understand a couple of words she said! Like listening to a native brogue.

Any additional comments?

Have Veronica Heart do more Highlander stories! :-)

Half the stories great; half...well...

I find the writings of Kathleen Hope kind of strange. I think there must be at least 2 ghost writers writing stories under her name, because some of her stories are great (very hot and humorous, well written - Seduced by their Touch; the 'Dominated'/shapeshifter stories), and then others concentrate on the couple's growing relationship with little on the physical - I call them the 'cutesy' stories, and then the rest toward the end have awkward wording and odd scenarios - as if a child was writing them.

The narrator is fine, but if the storyline doesn't hold water, even great narration is not going to make it better.

I give it a 3.5 overall.

Almost all the stories were great short, hot listens - with the exception of 'Taken at the Ranch'. That one was badly written and ridiculous. Thankfully, the first story and the last two redeemed this purchase :-)

Hot firefighters! And Grandma too!

A fun short from Kathleen Hope! Great premise - Grandma gets saved from a kitchen fire, gets a new kitchen and her granddaughter gets not one, but the two hunky firefighters who saved Grandma to play with!

Dialogue is sweet and cute; characters are all likeable - and the sex scenes are smoking HOT (pun intended)! Very upbeat story too :-)

Matis' romance series now sold as a set!

If you're looking for lighthearted, humorous romance stories with hot couples and their steamy encounters on the road to true love, then look no further than this Fantasy Football Romance set by Liz Matis.

All 4 stories in the series are finally here in one purchase - all are well written with fun characters and great story lines. Over 13 hours of fun summertime listening :-)

Good writing but not great; hot scenes and humor

I saw that all three stories were now available as a set, and finally have listened to books 2 and 3 in this trilogy.

Overall, it's very entertaining but again - in a superficial way. There are some fun characters - just don't look for too much depth in anyone's backgrounds. As a reviewer commented, the dialogue does remind me of a Hallmark Movie, albeit with a bdsm slant (and if Hallmark ever wanted to make a more erotic romance movie, these stories would make great screenplays :-))

But the sex scenes are definitely HOT though and it's my main 'why' for getting these audiobooks.
