Fast paced second chance
Reviewed: 10-21-24
Thank you to the author for the chance to read and listen to this one early. Love You Too is a fast paced, second chance romance with an accidental baby and a a super cute dog! Hard to dislike anything about that. The characters are well written and I liked the narrators a lot! It is dual narration which isn’t my favorite but is typically the standard. The spicy scenes are great, the deeper emotional moments really got to me, I loved seeing Trix with her siblings and sister in laws as they all helped her find her way through this very new situation for her. The few things I did feel I was missing was more of Ren with his friends maybe, and also more of the mystery/suspense storyline that runs through the whole series. We got a little bit at the beginning and then it’s brought up again at the end, but in between it feels like months went by and no one was concerned. Either way, I enjoyed the book a lot and I’m excited to read the next one, I’m hoping it’s about Trix’s brother!

Story
Alex Volkov is a devil blessed with the face of an angel and cursed with a past he can't escape. Driven by a tragedy that has haunted him for most of his life, his ruthless pursuits for success and vengeance leave little room for matters of the heart. But when he's forced to look after his best friend's sister, he starts to feel something in his chest. Ava Chen is a free spirit trapped by nightmares of a childhood she can't remember. But despite her past, she's never stopped seeing the beauty in the world . . . including the heart beneath the icy exterior of a man she shouldn't want.

Very twisty
Reviewed: 06-11-24
I listened to the audiobook version of this book. I feel a little conflicted about this one. I loved all the twists, and there were many of them. It kept the story interesting and moving along at a good pace. However I also have no idea why this book was so long. Every time I thought we must be coming to the end soon I realized there was still 3 hours left in the audiobook. I’m not sure if that would’ve bugged me while reading the physical book? I will say I had a hard time with the voice actors. It felt like all of their voices were so similar but I personally have a hard time with dual style narration so that’s probably just be expected. And the twists made it worth it! There were things I was not expecting at all. I was constantly texting my friend who had already read it freaking out about the most recent twist and what I thought was coming next. I really loved the relationship between Alex and Ava too. They played off each other so well and brought out the best parts in one another. If you like a billionaire romance, with a little light mystery/suspense, and strong main characters this one is for you

Sad it’s over
Reviewed: 05-26-24
Once again I find myself thinking that Jenny Han really knows how to write high school. There were so many moments that brought me back to my own high school experiences, and made me remember those feelings. I loved this book, I loved the series as a whole as well. I’m sad it’s over and I wish we had an epilogue but I also really enjoyed the open endedness of the way the ending was done. Lara Jean may be my favorite JH character. She’s introspective, a little quirky, but real and I enjoyed her story a lot!

Angsty and so high school
Reviewed: 05-19-24
I loved the extra angst in this book. It was angsty and so high school in the best way. Jenny Han really knows how to capture the high school experiences of changing friendships, life changes, and romance in a time when hormones are raging, you’re emotional, and every thing feels life ending.

Really enjoyed this story
Reviewed: 05-14-24
Im typically not a fan of books about high school kids but I listened to The Summer I Turned Pretty a few months ago and liked it so when I realized To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before was by the same author I knew I needed to listen to this one too. I really enjoyed TATBILB and I can’t wait to download the second book. I laughed out loud at parts, shook my head at the typical teenager behavior in other parts, and felt the anxiety and nerves Lara Jean felt as she navigated the world of dating. I wasn’t expecting the way it ended and I’m anxious to see if we learn more in the next one.
