the voices where very well done. The story was amazing. The twists and turns so well done, you don't see them coming. The multiple personalities were so well done. I usually buy a book hoping to listen for a few days. But, I could not stop listening. Kudos to the Author, she is amazing!!!

Story
San Francisco, 1906. In a city bustling with newly minted millionaires and scheming upstarts, two very different women hope to change their fortunes: Gemma, a golden-haired, silver-voiced soprano whose career desperately needs rekindling, and Suling, a petite and resolute Chinatown embroideress who is determined to escape an arranged marriage. Their paths cross when they are drawn into the orbit of Henry Thornton, a charming railroad magnate whose extraordinary collection of Chinese antiques includes the fabled Phoenix Crown, a legendary relic of Beijing’s fallen Summer Palace.

The history of the Chinese Americans was something that I was unaware of. I have been to Chinatown in San Francisco but I didn't have a clue about the history of these Americans. I also loved the Opera angle in the storyline and again the "robber baron". Such a colorful view of early 20th Century history. A great collaboration between 2 wonderful Authors!

Story
As Cady struggles under the enormous pressure at Harvard, she investigates her brother’s final year, armed only with a blue notebook of Eric’s cryptic scribblings. She knew he had been struggling with paranoia, delusions, and illusory enemies - but what tipped him over the edge? Voices fill her head, seemingly belonging to three ghosts who passed through the university in life, or death, and whose voices, dreams, and terrors still echo the halls. Among them is a person whose name has been buried for centuries, and another whose name mankind will never forget.

On February 2, 2002, Stephen King, Pat Conroy, John Grisham, and Peter Straub gathered at New York's Town Hall for a very special evening. These four best selling authors stepped up to the microphone to raise money for one of the most recognizable voices in audiobooks, Frank Muller, an actor who sustained terrible injuries from a motorcycle accident. All profits will be donated to The Wavedancer Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports artists who fall prey to illness or injury.

Story
In the Tall Grass begins with a sister and brother who pull off to the side of the road after hearing a young boy crying for help from beyond the tall grass. Within minutes they are disoriented, in deeper than seems possible, and they've lost one another. The boy's cries are more and more desperate. What follows is a terrifying, entertaining, and masterfully told tale, as only Stephen King and Joe Hill can deliver.

The language as written and as spoken, made the whole story seem plausible to me. I grew up in Maine with many older relatives who used the same colloquialisms in their speech. And the same distrust of anyone who wasn't a "local".

I love tag sales, garage sales, estate sales, no matter what you call them, they can be fun but, sometimes the glimpse into someone else's life is a little creepy. This story, as usual, carries the creep further than anyone wants to go! Great read/listen! Thank you again SK.
