Amazing story!

It’s been a long time where I’ve enjoyed a story where I’ve invested my time since time is so precious. I loved the main characters. I laughed, smiled and cried. That to me makes a story, when one can immerse oneself into the world the author created and true care about the main characters. The narrator was wonderful. They can either make or break an audible book. All I can say is thank you. I would love to read your other works. Keep writing, please.

Awwwwwww I'm a sucker for these kinds of books. This one has great romance development between the characters and feels really authentic. I LOVE Michael kramer as a narrator so yeah this was an easy choice for me, but the story is wonderful on its own. Sighhhh. Sweet day.

Really...the best I've listened to in a long time

The book is winner. Great PNR. Characters are just awesomely created. Funny and serious, petty and caring. Complex but so human...no pun intended. Yes, I love werewolf stories, so I'm inclined toward this kind of series, but the quality here is several steps above the genre's norm. I sense a deep backstory and history that has really drawn me in. And the romance was not cheesy, even though at first you're not sure why the main characters are drawn to each other, but the reason is gradually unveiled. I loved the magic of it all. Summer Omega is a winner.

Story
It's the 22nd century. Humanity has taken its first steps into the galaxy, and we've found ourselves in a vast playground of alien races and cultures. As the newest players on the universal stage, though, we're at the bottom of the food chain. Welcome back to the Four Horsemen universe, where only a willingness to fight and die for money separates humans from the majority of the other races. While some of the stories deal with mercenaries, others introduce listeners to the other guilds, organizations, and races that make up the landscape of the Four Horsemen universe.

Incredible Antho and Narration!
Reviewed: 06-14-18
If you like the 4HU, or just plain awesome mecha with well-written stories, give this a shot! Seriously, NOT ONE story was weak. Great action, good humor, and some truly ingenious plot twists. The thing I love about anthologies is discovering new authors. There are definitely some here that I will now go seek out their full length books. From Cawdron’s great opener to Ezell’s spectacular finish, this antho was never dull.
NARRATION: Keith Michaelson is a god. I have listened to some of his other stuff and was delighted to see him listed as the narrator here. I wish for him to narrate my life. Top 3 favorite narrators, especially for sci-if/fantasy.
Worth 2 credits IMO, but only costs 1.

Good Twist on an old concept
Reviewed: 01-13-18
The story isn’t new. It’s the end of the world through an unexpected threat. The writing was pretty good though so it kept my attention. I liked that was a good balance of explanation with discovery. Shift, the main character, is a well developed character who is kind of a sarcastic dork. It’s refreshing that the fate of the world doesn’t rely on the main character, for once, but on the team of people together.
Another thing, I learned things from this book. History and science. Wasn’t boring though it could get long winded here and there.
Narrator review: I picked up this book because of the Keith Michaelson. I’ve enjoyed many of his other books so took a chance on this. He continues to be top shelf quality.

TOP LEVEL STORIES AND EXCELLENT NARRATION
Reviewed: 01-03-18
With 14 different stories, I can't even imagine the effort it would take to narrate such a varied collection of characters. Michaelson proves he merits the praise he's received. Performance and quality of production are of the highest level.
Ok, the stories themselves. Ralph Kern sets up the whole anthology with a great opening story where the initial wormhole is discovered. While not all the stories are directly related to wormholes, they are always there on the fringes. There are several stories that are self-contained, others feel like natural lead-ins to longer stories, some of which I'd love to see further developed.
Stephen Moss's end cap to the collection is long but so well done. I went back and listened to that one twice. Also, stories by Richard Fox, Jacob Cooper, and Josh Hayes really left me thinking about their plot lines. Some great humor in Hayes's story. Cooper's feels somewhat reminiscent of James SA Corey's main crew. Stephen Palmer's was the eccentric and probably a bit too deep for me. All in all, the awesome thing about anthos is the ability to simply jump from story to story, no need for a long time commitment, and get a great splash of enjoyment. Looking forward to the next installment.

A diversion from the main story, but a welcome one. This feels like installment 2.5 and I am glad Finn gave us this insight in two characters that have not gotten much of the lime light, but deserve it. At least for a time. Garvan and Bray are a great team and the interplay between the characters is well developed.
I have a huge crush on Keith Michaelson. Anyone who can give me chills like that his rumble of a voice is amazing.

Yeah, the title pretty much sums it up. Had a blast listening to this series. Had gotten used to the narrator of the first two, who has a good voice, but Michaelson is much more expressive and versatile. Good change. Some of the reaper voices gave me the creeps!
The story itself has a satisfying ending and did not disappoint. Sometimes it was hard to tell when the flashbacks were going on, but not too bad. All in all and very worthwhile series. The different settings the author created were rewarding in the themselves and the action hardly let up.

It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

Though filled with tropes, this story is a fantastic one. The author writes a lot like Jordan, but more like Jacob Cooper (see Circle of Reign). This will be a fantastic series, I can feel it. With Kramer steering the emotion of the story, it was hard to put down.
