This was a quick, cute romantic comedy with a classic enemies to lovers plot line. I liked a previous book by this author and enjoyed how she connected the storylines. There were some nice messages about overcoming obstacles that were a bit too in my face and the plot was nothing
Ground breaking, but overall I thought it was a good
Read.

I loved this character development. You find yourself connected to them and rooting for them. A meaningful and humorous storyline.

A beautiful story with lessons on each character. I loved unfolding each twist of this slow burn thriller/romance. The narrator was compelling without being overwhelming to each voice.

I didn’t like the audio performance for this but still liked the book enough to purchase the paperback book instead and finish it. It was a cute story. The characters and dialogue were both somewhat cringey at times but overall it was a nice summer read I really liked the Prince Edward Island descriptions.

From the beginning you get sucked into figuring out this new world, just as the narrator is. There’s enough action and plot twists to keep it moving along, though I didn’t find it to be the most shockingly original or well-developed. Would overall recommend for an entertaining read and hope the sequel can tie it all together !

The narration was great but the story was too predictable for me to really be fully invested. I still liked it and thought it was a quick summer read.

I loved her previous book but didn’t feel the connection with this one. It felt scattered, cliched, and predictable. I did finish it but unfortunately didn’t really enjoy any part of the storyline or narration, so I wouldn’t recommend even as an easy beach read.

I really love Emily Henry’s writing style. I would recommend Book Lovers for anyone who likes her other books. She makes her characters out to be cookie cutter tropes on the surface but layers on depth as you get to know them. I liked the relationships amongst them the most. The plot felt like a straight line to me, however, so it wasn’t my favorite of hers. Overall was a cute, light summer read!

You genuinely feel for all of the characters in these families and how their in twined relationships impact themselves and others. I liked how it was a little suspenseful with some challenging concepts but loved the beautiful writing and connection to characters.
