As I was listening to this, I noticed I knew all of these stories. I went back to the audiobook, the defiant child, and it is word for word, the same book.

Absolutely heartbreaking 💔

First off, I want to say the amount of victim blamers in the review section is effin disgusting!! Are you kidding me asking stupid stuff like is this fact checked I think she’s making it up. Omg how privileged you are in your life to have never experienced this, and be so completely blind to what happens. And calling it racist, are are you kidding me?? grow the hell up!! let’s see how you would feel being raped by certain demographics I’m sure you would feel some type of way. How bold of you to criticize her when you have never been in her shoes, and to the dumbA. Who said that she wasn’t as bothered by being raped by the white man because that was better where the hell did you get that out of the story? She only was happier to think that she was pregnant by the one man who happened to be white, but he treated her like a human being, and was nice to her. That was literally the only second she ever felt any type of love, and that was only because he was nice to her. It had nothing to do with being white. If it was another race, saying they were raped by white men, and that they hated white men after that, y’all would think that was just fine. Funny how you’re only racist if you’re white. GTFOH! Stop beating the dead horse race card.

Ok now on to my review,

My heart absolutely broke when she talked about what happened with her second pregnancy. I’m disgusted at the doctors that would even perform such a thing so far along. I wish that she would’ve had a loving mother, if I was her mother, I would have killed those men where they stood, coming to my house trying to traffic my daughter. Her mother enrages me. I am so so completely sorry that she went through all of this horrific things. And screw everyone that has said such horrible things to her you’re just like the POS men she was dealing with. The authors voice was soothing. It wasn’t annoying like a lot of books are, she sounds like Mrs. Hinch. The story really pulls you in and breaks your heart at the same time. You should feel so very happy that even though you have problems, you didn’t live through this and if you did, I’m sure you had compassion for her and not victim blaming her.

I was listening to this nonstop every day, her story immediately Pulls you in. I actually listen to her second book 1st and I liked it so much that I found her first one and I loved it too!! She has an amazing story, she gives you all the dirt and she also lets you see her vulnerable side. She talks about all of the ups and downs. You feel like you are right there next to her on this journey. I grew up in the 80s and 90s and I remember her on the Cherry pie video like most all of us. I remember thinking how awesome she was as a little blonde girl myself. I’ve read lots of stories from the guy rockers, but to hear it from a woman’s point of view and her experiences are very eye-opening. I’m not great at writing reviews, but I hope you take a listen. I don’t think you’ll regret it! ❤️❤️

Didn’t want it to end!!

Now I know why most of the reviews said I didn’t want it to end because I didn’t either. There was so much I learned and also learned about new perspectives. I absolutely adored how she talked everything she said sounded so cute lol. I had never heard of her till now and I wish that I had an Instagram so I could see all of the things that she posts, maybe someday she will get a YouTube channel and I can watch! So far this is one of the best books I have had on audible.

Cringe AF

Not sure why this had so many good reviews. The author/narrator reads this like a robot, she sounds like the TikTok lady voice it’s awful. She impersonates the man’s voice And it’s hard to even listen to, it sounds like an awful cartoon man’s voice. She sounds completely crass and vulgar when she talks, The only way I can describe it as it your mom was talking about in detail how her and your dad get down. Gross. Not sure how she ever got paid. He also glamorizes being a street wh*re, then proceeds to tell you the most disgusting things that was asked of her and how she had to sell herself and her dignity, but that could be easily bought with a Louis Vuitton bag. Oh why wondering she didn’t have a deep connection with someone or a boyfriend, Gee I wonder. It’s not the Contant that’s so horrible it’s just the delivery of it. Also really opens your eyes to how disgusting a lot of men are.
