The voice actor did great, the story though did seem to drag, I ended up pushing the speed to 2.0 to get through the last 10 chapters. Haven't heard the word Daddo in a while.

Haunted Dolls and Family issues

I enjoyed the spooky story and it was creepier than expected, there were several body gore moments that made me audibly say ew and ahh. So I can say I had fun listening.
I gave 4 stars for the performance as the male voice took me off gaurd as it was so abrupt after listening to the clear female voice majority of the book, then to hear a raspy male I did not imagine at all for Mark kind of threw me off.
Overall I gave 4 stars as the stubbornness from the entire family became repetitive and annoying, and the story drags at points.
I don't know if I'd listen again but I did recommend to a friend who is terrified of Dolls 😆

My heart broke, but couldn't stop listening.

Beautiful love story, with harsh reality checks including multiple misunderstandings, and the standard 50s misogynism.
Plus so many horrible people, in every storyline.
Cried at least twice, and loved it.
Would recommend to everyone.

I loved the random recipes

It was a good story, I wasn't pleased with the ending, kind of felt rushed or meant to be a cliff hanger?
I would recommend this book! I also went out and purchased a copy to annotate, I enjoyed the random recipes that were thrown in and the tips of cooking throughout this novel. Inspired me to bake a lot while listening.

This forest isn't charted on any map. Every car breaks down at its treeline. Mina's is no different. Left stranded, she is forced into the dark woodland only to find a woman shouting, urging Mina to run to a concrete bunker. As the door slams behind her, the building is besieged by screams. Mina finds herself in a room with a wall of glass, and an electric light that activates at nightfall, when the watchers come above ground. These creatures emerge to observe their captive humans and terrible things happen to anyone who doesn't reach the bunker in time.

I' d give this a 3.5
it was a fun quick story that was entertaining. I will admit I lost track of characters and thought the repetitive inner monologs were a bit overdone.
Still considering getting the physical book to re read and possibly be easier at following each character better.
