This book spent lots of time discussing diet and smoking. There was some duplication early on as well. it made sense in the end though when he said he didn't plan on writing the bock and just did it on 7 days . Not sure how he can claim he "scienced the shit" out of this. There are a few pieces of goodness in this book, but strongly recommend looking elsewhere unless you are also struggling with weight or smoking issues.

This is a hard one to get through. First you have to get past the horrendous audio quality. Then depending on if you like swearing you'll have to get through that. She uses swear words too unnecessarily, it would be a much better book if all the completely unnecessary swear words were removed. There is some good information here, but nothing that is not easily found on YouTube or Google.

As someone recently born again, I'm still seeking the right denomination/church to belong to. This book gave a good overview of the lutheran faith and makes me feel confident in becoming a member for an LCMS church. May this book help bless you in your walk with Jesus.

As this is meant to be a lecture or course I had hopes of having information presented in a ethical manner. It becomes clear nearly immediately this would not be the case. Only four minutes in to the first chapter I was suspicious of everything else he would say. He talks about why Jesus's disciples would have swords and states the only reason it must be without any supporting evidence and with many other just as, if not more, plausible explanations that exists. this pattern continues where Dr. Ehrman gives his views as almost certainly facts without evidence to support why he feels this way. Overall it just seems like he wants to believe what he wants to believe and is finding ways to validate his views. We all do this at points in our life but for the type of work this is supposed to be I was hoping for something better.
