Lieutenant Anthony Pacino reports aboard the “project boat” USS Vermont two years after having survived the catastrophic sinking of the Piranha. Pacino quickly learns that Vermont’s missions are all ultra-secret with the boat reporting only to the sub force commander, the national security advisor, and the president: Vermont does the dirty deeds that need doing in deadly silence and obscurity. After Vermont misses the mark on an easy mission, there are questions asked about her ability to conduct the next mission.

Love it but long

In many ways I enjoyed the detail but it did make the story too long. Still I plan to listen to them all!!!

Story
After a tip from a reporter, Eve Dallas finds the body of a young woman in a Delancey Street dumpster. Just hours before, the news station had mysteriously received a portfolio of professional portraits of the woman. The photos seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary for any pretty young woman starting a modeling career. Except that she wasn't a model. And that these photos were taken after she had been murdered. Now Dallas is on the trail of a killer who's a perfectionist and an artist. He carefully observes and records his victim's every move.

Light and Shadow
Reviewed: 11-06-20
Very unique bringing Rorque’s mother and her family in the spotlight. As Eve said, seeing that he was “human like the rest of us” was interesting to see.
As an artist, photographer and interior designer, the capturing of light and shadow was also of great interest to me.

Story
It began in Ethiopia, hundreds of thousands of years ago, when a handful of genetic mutations caused evolution to split from the primates and mankind was born. Now, eons later, evidence of more splits from the apes is being unearthed. And with them, a disturbing realization. Ours was only one of many.

Both my husband and I are enjoying the a Breakthrough series so much and can’t wait to learn what happens next!
We also love Scott Brick’s narration, and his interpretation of your stories. I’m writing a book myself, and totally agree when you say it’s harder than it might seem, with many people to thank for their vital help and input. Best wishes to you in your continued writing.

My husband teases me about listening to them over and over, but it's like coming home and visiting with dear friends!
