Story
Rachel Armstrong has a burning need to right the world’s wrongs. Thus, she becomes the Avenging Angel. And maybe she’s a bit too cocky about it. While riding a hunch about the identity of a kidnapper, she runs into Julien “Cap” Jackson, who was trained by the team at Nightingale Investigations in Denver. Now he’s a full-fledged member at their newly opened Phoenix branch. It takes Cap a beat to realize Raye’s the woman for him. It takes Raye a little longer (but just a little) to figure out how she feels about Cap.

More depth to the main character’s stories.

I love Kristen Ashley but I’m not sure if is my ADHD that made so difficult to follow so many names making the main character’s stories shallow and without importance.

Story
One night will never be enough...Livy notices him the moment he walks into the coffee shop. He's heart-stoppingly stunning, with a blue-eyed gaze so piercing she's almost too distracted to take his order. When he walks out the door, she thinks she'll never see him again. Then she finds the note he left on his napkin...signed M. All he wants is one night to worship her. No feelings, no commitment, nothing but pleasure. Every defense mechanism Livy has adopted during her solitary life is at risk of being obliterated by this confounding man.

Story
Grand Central Station is hiding more than just an underground train system. When the body of a young woman is found in the tower suite of the Waldorf Astoria, Assistant DA Alex Cooper and Detective Mike Chapman find themselves hunting for a killer whose only signature is a carefully drawn symbol carved into his victims’ bodies, a symbol that bears a striking resemblance to train tracks. After a second body is discovered in a terminal alleyway, attention shifts to the iconic transportation hub and the potential for a bigger attack.

Love the writer, hate the narrator
Reviewed: 07-15-14
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Linda Fairstein is one of my favorite writers, but I can't take the narrator anymore. She has a great voice, when is not into a character. Can Mike Chapman sound any more older? and Alex Cooper more of a smoker?
What did you like best about this story?
Is well research and great lessons in history. And the plot is full of twists and turns.
How could the performance have been better?
Try to change the way the characters sound, specially Mike's.
Was Terminal City worth the listening time?
I think I would had enjoy reading it.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
This is the first book from Linda Howard I couldn't get to it. I listen the first 30 minutes and couldn't continue.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Romy Nordlinger?
Sometimes is not the narrator but the director.

Story
The bar Sophia Pearce is in doesn't look like much. The wine is bad and the decor worse. But when a sudden attack of curiosity leads her to sneak past security and into the back room, she discovers something unimaginable. The most lavish party she's ever laid eyes on, in the most unlikely of places. But that's nothing compared to what comes next, to the man she meets back there. Sebastian Lock. Gorgeous, commanding, and radiating charm, he is exactly the sort of silver-tongued rake Sophia has sworn to avoid. Unfortunately, he doesn't care much for her promises.

Would you recommend Locked to your friends? Why or why not?
no
How could the performance have been better?
no problem with the performance.
Any additional comments?
Unfortunately, I see more and more the trend of dividing what it could be an okay book into a series.
