A breathtaking novel from the number one New York Times best-selling author of the This Man trilogy.
One night will never be enough...
Livy notices him the moment he walks into the coffee shop. He's heart-stoppingly stunning, with a blue-eyed gaze so piercing she's almost too distracted to take his order. When he walks out the door, she thinks she'll never see him again. Then she finds the note he left on his napkin...signed M. All he wants is one night to worship her. No feelings, no commitment, nothing but pleasure.
Every defense mechanism Livy has adopted during her solitary life is at risk of being obliterated by this confounding man. He's obnoxious but well-mannered. He's a gentleman but aloof. He's passionate but emotionless. Yet the fascination is so powerful, Livy can't deny him...or herself.
M awakens something in Livy, something deep and addictive that she never knew existed-and that she fears only he can satisfy. But she senses that behind the fast cars, fancy suits, and posh apartment, he's aching inside. To have him, body and soul, she'll have to brave his dark secrets. Delving into his world and breaking down his defenses become her obsession-an obsession that could shatter her heart beyond repair . .

As much as I enjoyed this book, I wasn't sure where the story was going for the longest, I didn't understand Miller's fascination with Olivia, and for a minute, my favorite character was octogenarian Nan! It was just at the point when these two finally got together for the one night, that all Miller's cards started to show and it just got better and better.
Don't be deterred by the similarities to THIS MAN; its different enough to put it in it's own class of sexiness that I highly recommend if you're into 'dark romance' as I like to coin it.
ONE NIGHT'S DEFINITELY NOT ENOUGH!

Overall I liked the book but it too long to get the the heart of the story and even after 15hrs I feel shorted. But I will listen to the other books because I have to know how all this mess ends.Slow start

Would you listen to One Night: Promised again? Why?
Yes! I was excited from the beginning knowing the authors other works and it kept me on the edge the entire time. The story was unpredictable, sexy, frustrating and beautiful. I read it then bought it here on audio because I love the narrator too. What other book might you compare One Night: Promised to and why?
"This Man" was a similar read in level of interest, setting (London) Irresistible man that has flaws and undeniably beautiful. The female character is real with her own hang-ups and is a head turner that doesn't know it. The author is witty and creative to keep the characters from getting overly repetitive. What about Edita Brychta’s performance did you like?
LOVE Edita Brychta's voice. I've searched for more audible from her and haven't found enough to satisfy my craving for sultry British talk!If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
24 hours to worship youAny additional comments?
I would love to see "This Man" series or the new "One Night" series made into a movie!!Anxiously anticipating the release of the next in the "One Night" series!
Creative, beautiful and charming

*****SPOILER ALERT*****
Audible review. Standalone. The narrator does a good job, the intro and finalé music is annoying. Copied ideas: the broccoli/vegetable moment from 'Pretty Woman' & the short dress & closing elevator moments from "Fifty Shades.'
Miller (29) elevator issues, OCD, make escort, club owner & hobby painter & Olivia (24; aka Livie/sweet girl)
Olivia's mom was a prostitute and disappeared when she was 6. When Olivia was 17 she found her mom's diary, Olivia retraced and reenacted her mom's path.
Miller Hart & Olivia Taylor

The female lead has 'sass', the male protagonist is (of course) tortured but, for a change not torturing and the sex is very hot.
Great to hear an English story and all the hotter for it.
The series just gets better
Very good narration too
Stands out in it's genre - in a very good way

Who was your favorite character and why?
Grandmother! She's fun!Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No it didn't make me laugh or cry, but it captivated me and kept me enthralled the entire time.Any additional comments?
Great story, can't wait to finish book 2 and book 3 is coming out in Feb 2015. Although the first few chapters had me going, "why is this main character so clumsy and stupid?" but after she gets her act together, it quickly got a lot better and the story moved at a good pace. I started my audible subscription few months ago and I finished a few series, this is definitely one of my favorite thus far. IMO, much better than Fifty Shades, almost as good as the Colorado Mountain Series by Kristen Ashley.Unexpected favorite

I read the whole series months ago and decided to try audible. I loved listening to/from work and on a long car trip. It adds to the Miller Hart and Livy experience.
I love One Night Promised.
Experience Miller Hart!! Delicious...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. The characters of this book leave you wanting to hear more about who they are even if it is to prove you were right all along. This book tended to stick to the common formula of this genre and was frankly predictable. However with that being said I did not care it was a very good story and leave you rooting for them to finally get it together. It didnt matter that Livvy annoyed me with her behaviors at times or how i was amazed at the judgement she had. I still liked her. Miller was also your typical hero in my mind but the author left me wanting to see this man personified in real life because frankly he just sounds HOT. Every woman wants a man that just leaves her speechless!!! Good decisions, bad decisions this couple makes you keep listening and rooting.Who was your favorite character and why?
Miller was my favorite character... The author wrote him in such a way that leaves the reader looking for a real life person to just put a face to the description. He was perfectly flawed. As previously stated this is formulaic as a listener I began to listen for the other shoe to drop as you know it is coming. All of his Idiosyncrasies and secrecy lend to informing the listener that something is coming and perfect just is not as perfect as it seems. So even though the story sticks to the formula as a listener I still hung on and wanted to know. What about Edita Brychta’s performance did you like?
She provided a clear distinction in the character's voices and even managed to make miller sound as sexxy as I imagined he looked. Great job by her. I will look for other books she has voiced.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book made me laugh and get emotional. I ran the gamut of emotions as the characters equally made me smile, frown, laugh, become frustrated and finally sad for them.Any additional comments?
Although formulaic and a hate that these books are all broken into series and you are forced to get the next book to complete the story I enjoyed it. I hope the next book is as enjoyable because it has been my experience with other books that have series that the author begins phoning it in as the story reaches its conclusion. I hope that is not the case with this series as Miller and Livvy deserve a good storyline.Perfectly Flawed!!!
